  14. Copyright issues are confusing and complex. Generally speaking most companies will over look minor copyright infringement and allow reasonable use of their item. This is generally true as long as it is for YOUR use and you do not claim rights to it, try to sell derivative works from it or other wise use it to make a profit. There is a section in the copyright law that discusses how much change to the original must be done before it becomes a new item and that is something over 15%. I do not see where posting a picture of what you make would violate that as long as you do not claim the pattern, subject and have only done it for yourself. DW

  23. Glad it was nothing but a bulb. I too have to use a magnifier. My lights however are numerous and very bright LEDs. They are more expensive than the incandescent ones but they have several advantages, they are brighter, they run cooler ( no more burning your hand ) and they last longer ( much longer ). For me I have begining cataracs however not bad enough yet to operate on. I shudder at the though of something sharp near my eyes hehe. DW

  25. One of the ways that is fairly popular to cut those hard areas is to cut them first. When you cut them first this has the best chance of staying together. Another way is when you cut them do not discard the wood that you cut out rather put it back in where it was and use something like blue tape to hold it together this also helps keep the delicate parts from getting damaged while you cut the rest. Other than that use a sharp blade, a magnifying lens if needed and be relaxed. Practice makes it easier however it is never totally easy to cut the delicate patterns. Some like me for instance while I can and have cut them I prefer a more simple pattern to cut ( my eyes are not good hehe ). Looking forward to seeing your progress. DW
