  7. Kelly the simple and cheapest way to make wheels is with a holesaw. You can get one if you do not have one all ready at Lowes or Home Depot. A 1 1/2 inch hole saw will cut you out a round with a hole that is centered. All you would need to do is to get a dowel that would fit the hole in the "wheel" you would of course need to drill a hole through the toy so that the axle would be able to reach out of both sides so that you can put the wheels on it. 11. Kelly great work! Here are a couple of ideas for places to get wood on the cheap. Floor installers, cabinet installers, remodelers, scrap piles at Lowes and Home Depot, Pallets. All these can be sources of cheap to free wood that you can scroll. Glad to see that you are having fun. Keep up the great work. It is fun to see folks grow. DW

  20. Kelly that was a good idea. You know that before we had electric scroll saws we had treadle saws. The bases of those old sewing machines can be converted to a treadle scroll saw fairly easily. Glad you are getting set up in an area that is less conducive to setting off your asthma. Even in the finished carport, please remember, saw dust is the enemy and must be contained and controlled. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
