Like was mentioned it looks good and until you point out the problem area we all assume that it is part of the design. Would hate to see it end up in the firewood pile. DW

  15. hmm... generally I do not make resolutions... can't break what you don't make However Clean the shop. work on some of the ideas running around in my head Redo my totally depleted inventory for my shows in 2015 Sell more banks... sold 111 this year... DW
  16. Kevin that half bowl is in a good position to capture the sawdust that generally finds the floor even without the vacuum source. I have operated it both ways and at 3am when folks are sleeping here but me I generally do not turn on the collector but let gravity assist me in my saw dust collection. It can be manually emptied at anytime with a shop vac. DW
  17. Roly the motor has an impeller on the end of its shaft. The shaft goes through a hole in the wall that I mounted it on, so it is the motor then the wall then the impeller. The only part of this in the sawdust stream is the impeller. Now don't get me wrong here hehe it does leak around the hole a bit but the vast majority of the sawdust goes into the storage bag. DW
  18. I think it has a lot to do with rather you are right handed or left handed. This determines generally which eye is dominant for right handed folks the left eye is generally more dominant and the opposite for the left handed folks. We tend to favor movement where the dominant eye can have a clearer view. So right handed folks - the majority of folks, tend to cut counter clockwise. Now this is just my opinion of course I do not have any scientific facts to back it up, however, it makes sense. DW
  19. This is what I use for my blade storage. The pull out drawer sits to the left of my saw. I had a set of drawer slides from a cabinet that reclaimed. For the dust collection I made a simple 8 inch in diameter bowl, cut it in half. Since I had the stand that provided a good base to mount a board with a hole in it for the suction. I glued one of the halves of the bowl to that board. For the suction I was able to find a defective 1 hp harbor freight dust collector. I replaced the motor with an old motor I scavenged someplace a couple of years ago. While it does not get every bit of dust it does for the most part keep it off the floor. It i s not too noisy either. DW

  25. Kevin that looks substantial. How is the vibration at speed. Will it take both pinned and straight blades? I have never used a C arm before or seen one in action so i am understandable curious. DW
