  7. I haven't been around lately, been busy. I just finished this intarsia for a coworker. It was made to look like his dog, all white with brown ears. The woods used were - aspen, alder, birch, and walnut. The pattern is by Judy Gayle Roberts.
  8. I do all my work in my small shop, unless the project is to big. I have workbenches on three sides, two of them hold my tools and the other is where I do all my work. They are all built by me. the one i use for my work station started out as a train table, but found out didn't have enough time for 2 hobbies like that, and took up to much valuable space in the small shop (10 x 12)
  9. great job, everything looks great. thanks for sharing
  10. very nice. Is that yours? I would like to do that one myself
  11. I used to use those big plastic totes, but found they were kind of a pain to move around and things got jammed together if handled wrong. I built me a large wooden box with drawers in it, and space under the lid. Most things I make fit in this box. It is pretty big, it sits in the corner of my shop. I put casters on it and a rope handle for pulling it around when needed. If I remember I will take a couple pictures and add them to this post.
  12. I just added the website to my favories for future use. I took just a quick look and saw some neat wood for some of my future intarsia pieces. Thanks for the link
  13. I have used gorrilla glue on some things but not a lot because it tends to expand when it cures, and it stains your fingers brown if you get any on you.
  14. hi Steve and welcome to the village. There are a lot of great people here.
  15. These have nothing to do with scrolling but I thought I would share them anyways. They are a set of cornhole boards painted as the monster energy drink. I made them for my cousin for his graduation. The green is flourecent really bright, but the sun changed the color a bit. He built them I just cut the holes and had to paint them. He just came and got them and was very happy.
  16. great job on that cutting. I like the natural edges and the colors in the cedar.
  17. great job Christina
  18. Fran, thank you. this is not my pattern, I bought it from the woodenteddybear. The pattern is by Robert Hlavacek Sr. Most of the shaping on this one I used the router table.
  19. thanks Vector and Al, This was my first attempt at this rifle. The way people reacted to it today I'm sure I will be making more of them.
  20. thanks all your comments mean a lot.
  21. looks great Vector, I'm sure he will love it, if you decide to give it to him
  22. I just finished this up tonight, I took the picture between coats of poly. Its an 1866 carbine intarsia. The end of the barrel is cut off in the picture, overall it is just over 43" long. The woods used were oak - stock, fore grip. - Pau amarillo(yellowheart) - lever, trigger, hammer, reciever and butt plate. - walnut - sights, trim pieces. mahogany - barrel & feed tube
