  1. the only reason I could see for not using solids wood would be possible warping and cupping of the larger pieces.
  2. I like it too, great cutting.
  3. Excellent job. looks like some delicate cutting.
  4. nice job Roly.
  5. looks great. don't sneeze when cutting that
  6. funny. kinda hard to cut the pattern that way. I believe I would quit for the day, atleast a long break.
  7. never had the vibration like you are describing. especially since the saw is brand new. make sure the table is "seated" all the way on the pin in the back. I had to tighten mine extremely tight to keep it in place. sorry I couldn't be of much help. hope you get it figured out.
  8. great idea. I sure she loved them

  14. As Danny said - click on the "more " tab at the top of the page. you will find the old gallery there. You cannot add to your old gallery any longer. He is a link to a Post Travis made about the old Library and galleries. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/9144-old-pattern-library-files-have-moved/?hl=gallery

  17. Thats high, I can buy a 16 oz. Bottle for $28. and some change. If you use ca glue check out exoticblanks.com
  18. Looks good. Reminds me of a sandblasting cabinet
  19. As soon as I get the parts in I will let ya know if it worked. Mine was knocking before And I fixed by doing a couple things from here- http://www.scrollsaws.com/SawReviews/DewltTuneUp.htm . A few months later it started banging again but louder, so I tried the same fixes again but didn't work. I tore the saw down further and that's when I found the top bearing on the drive arm was pretty much missing. There is also a link in the above link to buy parts from. .
  20. That was one of the first things I did was to blow that and the power switch out
  21. I bought in December 2011. it gets used almost everyday for a couple hours. most of the use is cutting 3/4" hardwoods for my intarsia.
  22. Went out tonight to continue cutting on the baseball glove intarsia order(25), and my saw kept speeding up and slowing back down. I made a couple small cuts and gave up it just wasn't cutting right. I took the brushes out and they looked pretty worn down I just placed an order for a couple replacement brushes, hopefully that is the problem. If not I will be looking(and saving) to get the excaliber. In the meantime of friend is going to let me borrow his saw (my old dremel), so I can finish cutting out the gloves and atleast keep working on the order. I just replaced the pivot arm (that make the machine work) and bearings in December. They were shot. I'm thinking it's about time for a new saw, time to start saving
  23. pretty clever idea. I might have to make something like that(if I keep the dewalt). right now I just use a block of wood
  24. Glue them together in smaller batches 10 -15 maybe or whatever you can get together before your glue sets. then once it does dry, glue them together to make your larger blank
  25. excellent cutting.
