  1. Thank you very much, Roly, I received your e-mail and I apoligize for the inconvenience I caused. God Bless! Spirithorse
  2. Thanks, Roly, Unfortunately, I cannot get the .jpg pics to print. Must have something to do with the 1 of 4 images because the images just go to the next image if I try to click on it. Sorry to be a bother but, can you make any kind of adjustment or send the antlers and legs to spirithorse55 at hotmail dot com please? God Bless! Spirithorse
  3. Very, very nice and a very creative and artistic touch with the We The People. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Very nicely done. Personally, and this is just my opinion, I don't like ti being on a cloth flag. If that is the look you wanted I would have used a printed flag as the background. But, that being said, it is a very nice project. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. Congratulations, Clayton, Well deserved award. Not Best of Show, though? God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Thanks for your service and welcome to the group. God Bless! Spirithorse
  7. Thanks for the idea, Dan, What font did you use for the monogram? I'll have to showmy wife and adult daughter and see if either of them are interested in a new decoration. God Bless! Spirithorse
  8. They would make beautiful balancing wine bottle holders. You could also make some toy cars that would be really appealing to the eye. Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  9. With beautiful wood like that, excellent lettering, and the cute, well sawn cat, I can see why it attracts attention. How exactly is that framed? Is it just on a backer or is it framed? Great work all the way around. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  10. Thanks for the reply, Russell, but, the bowl that Roly showed me was entirely different. As far as thanking the pattern makers and cutting their designs, I thnk that is simply a matter of courtesy. Here I am trying another link. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/8383-the-first-scrolled-bowl-ever/?hl=%2Bfirst+%2Bscrolled+%2Bbowl God Bless! Spirithorse
  11. Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  12. Beautiful work, Rob, Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  13. Sorry, everybody, When I tried the links, the 2nd one would not open. Maybe someone smarter than myself can figure out how to retrieve the link to a cutting by Phantom Scroller of his first scrolled bowl ever. God Bless! Spirithorse
  14. If I am correct, these two projects are the same pattern by Birchbark (Russell) with entirely different results. One was cut an about an 18.5 degree angle and the other was cut with no angle and the rings alternated. Now I guess Birchbark will have to tell us which was his intended results or intended cutting method when he designed the pattern! 15. Beautiful work, Ron, Is the bird in-laid? Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  16. Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  17. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  18. I recently went to a county fair and ventured into the Market building to see if they had a display for scroll saw work and judging. Here are the winners I saw in Fretwork and Intarsia categories. I could not get close enough to the exhibit due to barriers and do not know how they specifically categorized entries (beginers?, Expert?, type of cutting?, who knows?) It appears the Tiger Intrsia took several ribbons and I imagine one is Best of Show. God Bless! Spirithorse
  19. As always, another beautiful piece of workmanship from Jim. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  20. Thanks for all the kind remarks. All the kudos go to Birchbark for the pattern. This is the first concentric patterns I have tried and really wanted to do one. Dick, The circumference was really deceiving. The base is approximately 10". Len, the wall thickness is 1/4". As Birchbark pointed out, it would be easy to change the heighth by using thinner stock or eliminating some of the rings or both. I think by using the same pattern with the variations mentioned, you could make a bowl, a vase and a taller fruit basket. Thanks again and God Bless! Spirithorse
  21. This is a pattern from Birchbark. It is just stacked together at the moment. Not sanded, stained, or no finish. Cut from 3/4" yellow pine at about 18.5 degrees. It stands almost exactly 8" tall. The first concentric ring pattern I have cut and I didn't know if the top ring should be cut at the angle since it wasn't the same shape as the other rings or cut at 90 degrees so, I cut it at 90 degrees to allow for the lip. Thank you very much Russell. God Bless! Spirithorse
  22. Beautiful scene. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Nice, Ed, I have to say that your first post is much different than the ordinary, "Hi, I'm Bob!" Thanks for sharing and looking forward to see your projects and more posts. God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. Hi, Dan (dgman), Yes, I replied via private message on July 30th so, maybe you over-looked the message. I should have replied here on the forum also. Thanks again and God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Nice cutting, Dick, and I don't see anything wrong with the frame. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spiritorse
