  1. Hi, Ike, This is the best info I could find on cutting plexiglass. http://www.thewoodbox.com/data/scrollsaw/scplexglassinfo.htm Good luck and God Bless! Let us see your project when you are finished and let us now what worked best and what did not work for you.
  2. Very nice! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  3. Well done! Thank you for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Nice cutting! That is called 'Evening Serenade' by Jeff Zaffino. It was in the March 2007 Creative Woodworks & Crafts magazine. God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. With that many projects getting broken, I'd find a new place to display my crafts! God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Interesting conversation. I really enjoy stack cutting and don't mind doing repeats of a project that a lot of people admire. Anyway, That is a very beautiful corner niche and in regard to your reply to Ron, you did not leave much room for improvement on that project! It is extremely well done. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  7. Great cutting and presentation, Sparkey, Is that pattern available here on SSV? I had little luck with the search engine to find it. If not, please advise who the designer is if possible. Thanks and God Bless! Spirithorse
  8. Very nice, detailed cutting. I think most of us do stack cut the more fragile patterns to decrease the risk of small pieces breaking but, you did an excellent job in a single 1/8" BB. If you don't think you can really use 2 or more finished projects, you could always use a piece of cardboard from an old cereal box or something to give you extra strength to help preserve the wood project you are cutting. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  9. Hi, Ray, Here is a link to a chart which gives suggestions on blade sizes and their recommended uses. I am sure there are better charts available but, this is the first one I found and it lists CAN USE, RECOMMENDED, and CAN'T USE categories for the material and thickness to be cut. http://ep.yimg.com/ty/cdn/yhst-16765698503918/ScrollChart.pdf Good luck and God Bless! 10. Nicely done, Roly, Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  11. The only other suggestion that I don't think has been mentioned is, instead of a heli-coil, just drill and tap to a larger size thread and buy a new set screw or thumb screw in the correct/larger size. Cheaper than a heli-coil and cheaper than replacing the blade clamp. Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  12. Very nice, Fay! Jim Finn is a member here that does lots of inlay. You can check out his posts by checking the search engine for him. Also, there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube which you can watch. I don't know what areas of that project were supposed to be in-layed and your project is wonderful! Thanks for sharing and God Bless!
  13. Nice project. Thanks for shairng and God Bless! Spirithorse
  14. Cute! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  15. All the answers above should help you out. If you are using the spray in an area with low heat, I would just take the can into the house until it is at room temperature before spraying. God Bless! Spirithorse
  16. Nice work! Thanks for sharing and thank you for giving credit to the designers. God Bless! Spirithorse
  17. Hello, Onder, I have already seen some of your work on scrollsawer.com You are very good at design and very generous. Welcome to the group and thank you for joining. God Bless! Spirithorse
  18. Nice work, Gator, and I agree with Fish that the frame really matches that cutting well. God Bless! Spirithorse
  19. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Aubec, I had no luck veiwing anything on the site so, I do not know who the administrator is. I'd like to know what everyone finds out about the site such as who is the admin and who's patterns they are sharing. God Bless! Spirithorse
  20. Nice work, Dan! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  21. It sounds to me like he meant to cut them as an over-lay, meaning cut the word INDIAN out separately and cut the letters for MOTORCLYCLE separately and glue them back onto the project. If you have already started cutting some of the letters, then you will probably have to add the bridges most of the other replies have mentioned. Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  22. Very nice! Who is the designer of that pattern and where is it available, please? God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Here's a link to the Craftsman Blade Clamp Conversion Kit. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-scroll-saw-blade-conversion-kit-22259/p-00922259000P If you know someone in a factory tool and die shop, they can easily make two small blocks of metal with a kerf in the center and a hole in the side to fit either an allen bolt or a thumb screw. The blocks have to have a 'V' shape on the bottom to fit into the existing area on your saw that holds the pins on the pin end blades. Good Luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. Nicely done! Thanks for shairng and God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Nicely done and I like the color combinations also. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
