  1. That's a nice little jointer Dan, all I can tell you, is to watch your fingers. Accidents with these types of machines happen fairly often, so, always have your guard up while using it. Len
  2. Well done Dan, your work on the lettering is outstanding. I'm sure this little plaque will bring his daughter a little comfort, thanks for thinking of her. Len
  3. Fay, your work looks fantastic, especially the heart bowl. I like you little turning also, I hope you keep it so that in the future when you get more practice, you can look back on this piece to see how well you've progressed. Len
  4. Dan, your right about where the plans came from, it was in one of the two major scrolling mags, I'm just not sure which one. I don't have access to my magazine collection right now, or, I'd look it up for you. Sorry, I couldn't be of more assistance. Len
  5. Very nice looking cutting Dick, most designers don't mind a few alterations, as long as you still give them credit for the pattern design. Thanks for sharing this with us. Len
  6. Very nice Danny, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  7. Two beautiful cuttings Jim, it's easy enough to see why you won. Are you going to be selling them, if so, you should put the for sale signs on them right there at the fair. I would think that they would bring in the big bucks, thanks for sharing them with us. Enjoy the accolades, you deserve them. Len
  8. Very nice Frank, and it's easy to see who it is, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  9. Mine too, it's a good looking cut Gator, you did an excellent job of cutting the letters. Len
  10. That's a very nice looking bowl Fay, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  11. Holy smokes Dan, it sure looks as if there was some delicate cutting involved to get this one done. All of the lettering, numbers and the little windmill, must have been a nightmare, well done! Len
  12. I like using the washers, that you would use for 1/8th" pop rivets. There isn't a whole lot of metal between the washer, and the exterior of the object being traced around. It allows for about a 1/8" border, which is just right for most items that I cut. But, I also have an assortment of different washers with different side distances (radius) to the outside edge of the washer. I use them for larger items. Len
  13. Bill, you can get any of Volkers patterns from Kyle Sheffer at www.wouldyoubelieveshop.blogspot.ca. Kyle is great for answering any questions that you might have, and I would like to purchase most of what he has for sale. I would like to have the complete library of Volkers work, I really enjoy cutting his patterns. So far, I've cut about twenty different patterns of his, some that I purchased from Volker himself through his site, and there has been a few of his patterns in the scroller mags. Len
  14. Paul, I don't have to wonder why your customers are happy people, with cuttings like this, how could they not be happy? Thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  15. I'm sorry that I can't help you with your search, but, I do hope you find one just to finish this project off. It's a great looking cutting, thanks for sharing it with us. Len

  20. Nice looking little scooter, we had one of them years ago, it was a fun way to get around. Looking at you work almost makes me want to buy another one, but with already owning two motorcycles, I don't see that happening. Len
  21. I love blue grass music Dan, the plaque is gorgeous they will love it. Len
  22. That's one fine looking pen you got there hippi, what type of wood did you use? It looks like it could be made out of mahogany, but that's just a guess. I buy a lot of kits from Wood Pen Pro, I think my last order was for 60 kits of different types but, that was a while ago, it will soon be time to place another order. Len
  23. Looking good Kevin, you do some amazing work, thanks for sharing it with us. Len

    been busy

I guess you've been busy, it looks like your wife has been nearly as busy as you have. The preserves look delicious, and the cuttings look fantastic, I especially like the old buckboard cutting. Thanks for sharing all of this work with us. Len
  25. I can see it, and it looks great. Nice job on the letters Kevin, and the squiggly little bit of decoration on the bottom looks fantastic. It's cut so smooth and even on the edges, there's no little humps and bumps from where the blade stops and starts. Len
