Wowsers Dietmar that's a bunch of work but it sure looks fantastic. The hollow flower is that handmade also and the two bunnies are a perfect size for sitting on the side. Excellent work, thanks for sharing it with us all. Len
  3. Radhi if you could use a florescent type of blub you wouldn't create as much heat with the bulb. I say "if" because I am not familiar with the type of bulb the socket will accept. Len
  4. George you must mean the quality of the picture, because there is definately nothing quality wise wrong with this cutting. Thanks for sharing it with us all. Len
  5. Ken O you have been busy and it all looks great. Your co-worker will be very pleased to have his little piece of family history repaired, you did a super job of fixing it for him. Thanks for sharing these things with us all. Len
  6. Paul you may think that you have moved it to bragging rights but its not there, I went there to see it and all I get is the same message about moving it. So possibly you could look into this little glitch. Thanks. Len
  7. Chris I purchased 1000 on E-Bay last year for $10.00, I was in the same spot as you at 5per$1.25 or so. After going through 40 in one season I was syre to find a cheaper supplier and this was the best way to get them at a cheap price. Len
  8. DW,it's as cute and simple as the pattern, and not much cutting to end up with such a good looking little piece of wood. Thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  9. I'd say it was a good day also if I had cut these two beauties, very sharp, way to go Chris. Len
  10. Quite often this book is offered on E-bay, did you look for it there? Len
  11. Mike it's a beauty, but you may be setting yourself up to make more, that's what happens to me whenever i make something like it for my wife to take to work. Thanks for sharing it with us all. Len
  12. Good for you Trevor it's always nice to have someone close to compare work with and to get a few tips from. You never know he might have some interesting patterns that aren't possible to purchase anymore. These are what I always like to talk to other scrollers about because there are some great patterns out there that I would love to cut. Don't get me wrong, that's not the only reason that I like to meet and talk to other scrollers but it is one of the benefits. Plus if he has been into for years and you've only been into it for a few months there should a lot of pointers that he can give you. I know that I sure would have liked to have someone to show me the ropes when I started out. Len
  13. Glenn if your just looking for fonts you could try fontface.com I hope this helps. Len
  14. Clayton it's a real beauty, and to think that it only took 4 hours, that's outstanding! len

  17. Does anybody have a current telephone or e-mail address for Christina Ellenburg? If you have this info could you please send it to me in the form of a PM. She used to be a regular contributor on three or four sites and since she moved to Texas we haven't heard from her. She is a friend and I would like to get back in touch with her so please send the info if you have it. Len
  18. Ireceived my SS gift from Brian Williams (Inspirations) this week and it is gorgeous,I am really impressed with it. It is an Oak leaf with a spalded maple backer and I can't remember the third type but it is of an Ocelot cat figure, which is standing in the leaf. I will post a picture in a day or two. Thank you ever so much Brian. Len
  19. That is a lovely bit of cutting, anybody should be pleased with these results, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  20. Yes Travis thanks for all the time and effort that you put into maintaining this site the way that you do. Len
  21. That's an exquisite bit of work Clayton, may I ask how much something like this would sell for? Intarsia is something that I've never tried, it would be cost prohibitive around here to buy the wood even if it could be found. And besides that I despise sanding. If you don't want to disclose the price that's fine,I'm just being curious and I know some people are not comfortable talking about how much they charge.Thank you very much for showing this to us. Len
  22. Nice bit of work, keep it up.Is that just the stain on the deer plaque or did you do some woodburning on it also? Len
  23. Matt, if he doesn't just love it he has a serious problem because this is one of the most awesome pieces that's ever been cut. Thanks for sharing it with us all. Len
  24. Very nice work Brett the recipients are sure to be pleased, I've never heard of those types of wood. Thanks for sharing this with ua all. Len
  25. They look very nice Xray and as far as the backer, I've always liked the look of the black backround especially with a portrait. As far as the openings at the top and bottom goes I wouldn't know what to suggest. Thanks for sharing these with us all. Len
