  1. I think a wall of shame would be good. Cause if I am Cruz in around on the net and I see a pattern I don't know if it is a pirate pattern. I could see if they on the list. If they are I would be more then happy to inform them I WON'T BE BUYING FORM THEM.
  2. For $250 you can buy a saw that you can get parts for.
  3. I think windfield collections has them did you try woodcraft?
  4. Yep my daughter bought me a oak bar stool with a back rest and it swivels for a father's day. So the saw was fit to the chair LOL
  5. Hello, Any of you that make toys for kids. Here is a site deicated to toys only. http://forums.toymakingplans.com/post/weekend-project-mustang-about-ready-to-launch-7740347
  6. Well instead of ranting. Tell that person that you caught doing that. Travis we need a forum called "wall of shame" people caught doing this their name be added.
  7. I have a ex 21 the biggest reason I bought mine is the arm tilts not the table. My work piece is always level. From what I have been told and heard is the belt drive is the vibration thing very little of vibration.they have small tables compared to the other saws. They say the quality is good heavier. Some people I have heard made extention tables for their saw. Not sure how that works with a angle cut. Just get a dwalt or Excalibur. The biggest difference is the arm / table tilt. I think the Dewalt has a faster cutting rate. I don't think you will regret.
  8. Wow no way to tighten the bolt up that arm rotates on. The Excalibur let's you tighten the stiffness you like.
  9. Yep I don't care for the color my self. But like the pattern. Question : where can you buy small Corian like this? what would be the best blade to use on this?
  10. I am looking at this but not going to pay what they want. http://redding.craigslist.org/tls/5220295680.html
  11. I wish the MFG'S today still knew how to build good quality suff like that. Time to refurbish it and make it shine again.
  12. I would not worry to much about it.. LOL if you love a certain saw why would they get upset being compared to another saw? And if I ain't mistaken aren't they the same company now?
  13. Welcome you can buy a cheap saw from Harbor freight to see if you even like scroll sawing then if you do like it you can spend the money on a good saw and get down and dusty LOL.. the my first saw was a delta and up graded to a Excalibur 21 and love it. It was hard dropping the money for it at first but I am glad I did. The Dewalt you will love. The Dewalt is higher RPM I think but Excalibur arm moves instead of the table Wichita is my biggest reason I bought the Excalibur. Ask a bunch of questions and do your research. A lot of YouTube video out there to watch. Good luck.
  14. It depends if it is oak or pine. I would run the boards in a planner. The board are only 1/2" thick so a would thing a #5 blade would be good or a #7 blade.
  15. My EX 21 has a tethlon table and never waxed it. Well I am getting ready to fire it up after it been sitting for over a year now. The tethlon is starting to wear off now around the blade area. So Went ahead and waxed it even the tethlon part in back feels better with wax on it.
  16. Does it take pin end blades ? Or flat end? Not sure what you mean they fall out. If they are flat end blades you can cut off excess length so they are not too long. Older craftsman saw use to take pin end blades only. You can get a after market adapter so they will take flat end blades.
  17. I just take a finger nail file and hit the screw a that holds the blade a few times.that works for me
  18. okay I did not know that thanks. I only use a air compressor after sawing or sanding or excess mineral spirits.
  19. Nice set up but I got to be the dumb one to ask. What is the box of tissue paper for .
  20. Those are some pretty boxes by the way.
  21. Wood craft? hmm okay did not think to look there thanks
  22. Thanks DW, yep I know I could use other wood and I could use a white wood on a dark box such as a walnut box. But thought this ribbon looked like a good challenge. Maybe I will skip the veneer one less thing to buy I guess. Less time consuming too.
  23. Hello all I got my book yesterday. But the first box is a ribbon box. Under materials the ribbon calls for oak , red veneer and yellow veneer. I don't know where the yellow veneer comes in at. There is no istructions on the glue up. Is the yellow veneer between the small red veneer strip and the purpleheart center strip? This would be my first ever experience with veneer. Where is a good place to buy this kind of veneer? I will look on YouTube maybe Carol has a video on the ribbon part. Thanks for your help. Karl
  24. I hope you are up and running soon. I bought the ex 21 thinking that would be big enough for what I need. Yep you guessed it I done a few projects that makes me wish I had a bigger saw. LOL
  25. LOL my phone or I got it wrong. My father n law is on Hospice and has cancer in his belly . So I guess all the texting I or my phones had auto muscle reflex LOL
