  1. Yes, a clever idea. Great work!
  2. I agree with Scott, Olson blades are good, never heard of Toni.
  3. Also take a look at some of the newer and smaller dust collection systems. Probably a lot cheaper than buying a new vacuum every few years.

  5. Super cool!! Thanks for showing.
  6. I like the unfinished edges.
  7. For me it doesn't look like water so I would paint it black. You did such a fantastic job on the cutting it needs nothing else.
  8. Fantastic work!! Are there two drawers, or does the one drawer slide out to either side? I've always wanted to make a chess set but I'll wait until I retire.
  9. They all look great but it really like the tractor.
  10. I watched a rifle maker (is there a term for that?) do some inlay on the stock. He used various types of fine wire to embellish the wood. I guess one could incorporate it in some work. Oh, I toss mine too. No hording in our house, except for wood and sawdust.
  11. Here's what I found is the best fit. This is cut from paper so I'm not sure if it will work when cut from wood, but I may try it and share results. The white piece was flipped to fit. The center piece may also fit better if flipped.

    Let's Eat

This is a Steve Good pattern. I've seen @smitty0312 work with crackle paint and wanted to give it a try. I'm surprised at how easy it is. It took a few tries to get the crackle like I wanted it but I like the outcome. This is not yet assembled but I wanted to share it because I'm bad at showing my work. This will go in our kitchen.
  13. Well, I think I figured it out. Yes, you can take the pieces from the pentagon and arrange them in the star. One piece from the star will need to be flipped over to finish the octagon. I printed the star and octagon and cut them out. Now I think I will make one. Thanks for all of your thoughts and inputs. And thanks Jim for the pattern. It's pretty cool. I'll post a photo of the paper cutout, but first I'll let you guys try it.
  14. Welcome to the Village, Jim. There are several members with that model saw and they will chime in shortly. Can you post a photo of the hole/blade?
  15. I love thr Christmas tree ornament hanger.
  16. That is just screaming for color. Nice pattern.
  17. I agree, just make your own. May look cool with different wood for the pieces.

    Grandsons

Grandkids are the best! Welcome to the Village from Ohio.
  19. Welcome from Ohio!
  20. I have a Brother all-in-one laser, model HL-3180 CDW. A crappy printer for photos but it does provide me with accurate circles. At this point I can only suggest the following method: Put you right foot in, take your right foot out. Put you right foot in and shake it all about. If that doesn't work If you do that your prints may not be accurate, but you can do the Hokey Pokey.
  21. Excellent execution of the project.
  22. I'm with you. I will try to remember how to do it in 2003 version. If you right click on the circle, you should be able to select Format Shape. One of the tabs or fields should be size (height and width). You can change by typing in the value you want. My version is came with the computer I bought last year. I went from 2007 to 2020 and I get lost in the Microsoft products. Good luck.
  23. I like them. But I also like Cincinnati chili.
  24. Just to eliminate Inkscape as having the issue, can you create a circle in another program (like MS Word) and print it out? Before I found Inkscape I used Word to create patterns of basic shapes.
