    Looks great! But don't worry about leaving in shadows. Shadows can add depth to the pattern and finished work. Maybe try one with shadows to compare them.

    Sign for Nephew

    Hey Joe. The sign 17" wide and 6.5" tall. I used Timber Cast resin from Rockler. It's supposed to cure (under ideal conditions) in 24 hours but it took 48 hours. But no bubbles! I used some pigment from Alumilite to get the green and it was easy to mix. A little goes a long way when doing small projects. I've used polymer clay and love it but it requires heat to cure it and I wanted a glossier finish so I went with resin. Give it a try.

    My nephew asked me to make a sign for his friend. Cherry with green resin-filled letters. Font is Algerian with some modification. Finished with rattle can poly then buffed with steel wool. It was fun to make but very fragile and hard to fill the narrow parts. This may be the first project I posted in over a year.

    Great work! I also like it. I remember a trip to Venice many moons ago. I passed a bridge that I thought was interesting and took a picture. It turned out to be the Bridge of Sighs.

    I thought the same thing as @FrankEV. How close are you to the lens? Also, there are lens defoggers that work pretty good but your workaround seems fine.

    Welcome to The Village, Norm. I use picture frame matboards. I think I got them at Hobby Lobby and they are reasonably priced. They have a large assortment of colors, but easily with a utility knife, don't fade, and accept glue quite well. Probably cheaper than wood and no painting.

    That is the most unique horsefly I've ever seen. Great job! Definitely worth framing.

    When you view an image, look at the lower right corner of the image. There should be a button that says Image Tools. When I click on it I can select to download the image. See the example below. Hope this helps.
