  1. I shared a booth with a guy that makes beautiful boxes. He doesn't have a cell phone or use email. He browses the web about once a month, but just isn't interested.
  2. Good luck at the show! Your ornaments are amazing. I bet you sell lots of them.
  3. Last week I did a craft show and talked to two people who scroll saw. I don't know if they sell their stuff, but I asked both of them if they were on any of the scroll saw forums. Both looked at me kind of funny and said, "No." I was shocked. How often does this happen to you?
  4. Nice pattern and cute daughter. Please share the finished product.
  5. John covered a lot with what he said. Definitely a dark, solid-colored table cloth. I bought a black bed sheet for $3 at a dollar store. I sold a ton of ornaments two weeks ago. The sled ornaments were a big seller and I always sell out. I'm making 30 of them for my next show. Protraits get a lot of attention and bring people to the table. If you have one that is framed, put it in a prominant place so curious people will come in and see the other stuff you sell too. Have a blade or two with you. So many people asked what kind of laser I have. Haha! If someone is eyeing something, tell them a little about it. Many times they don't want to be the ice breaker but they are interested in some stuff. I always have a few cheap items in the $2 to $6 range. And I always say, "These make nice stocking stuffers." Bookmarks work well for me. Dan
  6. I agree with the others that framing it is the best. I found some cheap matting and framed behind glass. It's amazing what difference it makes.
  7. Great job!
  8. Hello Martin and welcome to the Village! I'm not in Ireland, so I can't help you there, but I'll let you know if I come across someone from your neck of the woods.
  9. Both look good! I like how you put words inside words.
  10. Looks great! Sheila does have some great patterns.
  11. Welcome aboard Firat! There are some great pattern designers here and I'm sure they will help any way they can.

    Welcome to the Village Mick!
  13. Great job on all of them. I really like the wolf.
  14. Great job!
  15. Hey Sam, welcome aboard!
  16. DW, my thoughts exactly. It's another effort of big government trying to take control of our lives. We do need to voice our opinion and stop this madness. Any toy or puzzle I make, no matter how simple, is only for sale to adults. If a child comes by and wants to buy something, I just ask them to have their parents make the purchase. Dan
  17. Welcome to the village Tracy. I'm about 2 1/2 hours up the road in Independence. I get down to Louisville about twice a year. I'll let you know the next time I'm down that way. You know, I had no idea where Ft. Know was until I just looked it up on Google maps. Dan
  18. I use Johnson Paste Wax too. I cut very infrequently, so I apply as needed. Hmm...thanks for the reminder.
  19. Trace, I select the speed based on my own comfort with the work I'm doing. I know thin blades will heat up and break more frequently when run at higher speeds. Have fun making dust. Dan
  20. Came out great. Now we know what you thought of your algebra teacher.
  21. Welcome to the Village Don. Nice work there.
  22. Great work there Mike.
  23. Glad to have you back Dean. Now, get off the computer and make some dust...but just a little at a time.
  24. Nice job Edward. It looks good in the frame.
  25. I just make a temporary fence by clamping a piece of hardwood to the table and adjusted it a little at a time until I got it to the thickness I wanted. I think I'll make a fence out of angle iron and MDF.
