  8. Hah, got your curiosity, lol !!This is a "the scrollsawartist.com" SUEMEY'S pattern It's in 3/4" 12 ply plywood , cut with a few different scroll reverse blades #9#7 and #3.The wood was oak ply and tough to cut on number 5 on the yellow dw788 speed control. This saw i wore out last year or the year before and bought valvoline synthetic grease and disassembled as much as i could and regreased all the bearings i could get out.Only two i needed a press for so they are the same as before. After the regreaseing you would never know the machine is sloppy and wore out.Anything above 5 on the speed and it would hammar. No more, but I stay 5 or less not to push it.It's doing just fine. My rocking table was as I thought.A lot of saw dust behind the degree wheel.I blew it out and now it's solid and no rocking.
  9. Thanks Roly ,It was way easier than i though.Goes to show you ,You never know till you try!
  10. Grampa i could send you a picture but you would need a barf bag!,lol
  11. MR. ROB ROY, that's my first box and was a piece of cake to do. The rings went very fast.I'm pleased but it needs better wood of staining or something, lol
  12. Thanks FRANSISCO ! i keep plugging along.I i stay home things get done . If I leave I find way too many things that eat up all my time from coming back to scroll.

  17. Thanks Dan, my mind is going and I have to many things to keep track of with the projects, photos, time, woods, pattern location, blades used, etc. I used to be real good about it 8 years ago for a while.then got sick.Doing better now.

  21. Thanks ROB,With no wife and a honey do list i'm free to do what i want.Scrolling is self satisfying.I don't own a television set but lately i've been thinking about dragging out the shortwave radio.that's another enjoyment of mine. But them i need to string up a large antenna so maybe that's out,lol
  22. Thanks DANNY, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! Smells good too!
  23. this is great to see professionally designed project like this from you!Your two piece stand is a first and add much to the piece it's holding.Everything you tackled came out smelling like a rose and i'm proud of you getting back to the thick of it again.I see your wheels have been turning from the rest! great job! Thanks for the photo's of your exhibits.
  24. Thanks BOBBY, You're absolutely right, even in metal, hard is brittle. I have a drill bit that is so hard, if you drop it it shatters to pieces. It cuts thru a broken 3/8 tap like butter and taps are hard. When i sharpen it there is next to no sparks coming off the grinding wheel!
