  2. Hi ED, i've used a c-clamp and a b.b,to push out the roll pin on some deltas i've repaired and modified. Also a nail punch can be used but the parts need to be secured so they don't move and bend or break while taping.A sharpend chain breaker could be modified to do the job too but all ways short of the factory ways are a bit touchy but with inginuity you could find a way . Hope this inspires you to find a way to drive that stuck roll pin out.Best to leave it in and try liquild wrench or transmission fluid and save all the anguish of all the other ways of getting the job done .good luck .Someone else will chime in soon with a differant veiw of gettin er done so hang in there. These are ways i've done it.thanks for joining too.!

  19. Thanks Jim for the heads up.The nut had come off months ago but i did'nt see the washer and had no idea it was missing till i got the schematic..Put a washer on after i took it all apart and could not find the play in the connecting rod wrist pin so added the washer and it's good to go.I love the bearings everyware in the 788.Very well built machine .I'll stick with this one.I did add the lock tight before but the missing washer was the culprit this time. I was ready to order a bunch of parts but am so glad it was a little thing!
  20. Real fine cutting there!Chie f ponder situation,lol
  21. I have some knocking noise coming from the saw. took apart some months ago and found a nut had worked it's way off.Now the noise is back but the nut is intact.I finally had to let the saw wear out some more to find some play in something.Ends up it's ths connecting rod off the motor at the wrist pin.Still working and use it daily till i can fget parts .can't go above 5 on the speed control.
