    My thumb screws are like polished from blades sliding out so much,this solved the problem for me ordinary wiping and cleaning didn't.

    If your the week end warrior scrolling that's fine but non stop scrolling hings get pretty shiny and slippery.

    Ah yes eagle eye,lol Little by little.You know when you have the right blade these cut very fast.I forgot to go to the big box store for dowel rods,always something!I really like cutting these.I think the blade i used that cut the best was a skip tooth scroll reverse #7 or #9.

    I was hoping to get all of the 100 plus cut and then show the proof.There's 2.5 gallons worth of scrap i pealed from around the compound cuttings.One thing let to another and they got put on the back burner.But here's proof you wanted ,Doubting thomas's,lol

    Just for kicks an giggles i used my dremil with a sanding drum on the last 3/4" of the blades both sides top and bottom.Ends up i can go long time g.i. and not lose tension.Why i never thought of this i've no idea.Sand paper is fine but this way it real cleans the oil and whatever down to raw steel for gripping power!

    Seldom do i get cherry but the best projects get it when i have it,I have lots of teak but am up in the air what to cut with it Not a lot of mahogang here either so special,projects win out for it.Maple is lo in stock here again special projects get it,Big plaques with lettering ,5 6,6 7 lines get my spruce and white pine.Very special projects get my walnut and oak.Plywood win most of the time,lol

    Ralph let me warn you i've had my fingers hammared so many time doing these in close quarters .It reminded me when i had lawn service and when the weed eater string got my ankles I always wonder about how many times it hit me before i cold move out of the way.It's got to be three digits,worse then being cained!

    I cut 85 but keep falling asleep at the saw.It's amazing how fast you can cut one.Bad part is there is so many steps you have to do to get to the final product.I know i won't even be close to make $8 each labor,they are just too tedious .Well they kept me home ,out of trouble and not spending money which is a good thing.There are beautiful and even more so when stained or painted multi colors .I figure the best looking grain ones will be left like that,cleared or light stain.I'm thinking of a display with oxygen acetylene brazing rods between two posts would look nice for a display of them.I have over 100 now getting ready for the final stages.They were fun cutting and i'll enjoy seeing them finished .

    There's all the usual reasons for blades slippage ,and i've tried them all.One that's been over looked and never talked about is the screw where the blade rests opposite the thumb screw.On the Dewalt you'll need an allen wrench to turn it half a turn to change the grooves wore in it to not slip but grab for you.biggest help was changing the top and bottom thumb screws by putting the top in the bottom and the bottom one in the top holder.
