I didn't think of that. Will have to add that to the back of the saw and a little tiny red dot for the on/off switch for the top of the black doodad on the top of the saw. Maybe I will even draw the labels that are on it too.. LOL! I Should have made the table the same shape as the scroll saw itself. I think Steve Good had intended it to be the yella fella. It was fun to make this little guy and his saw... Have a great day.. Fay

I'm trying to figure out a nice color background for my woodpecker fret work that I did. Some one had thought a bark or some thing of such would look nice. They have some bark like fabric at Joanns so I might look there and get a piece if it looks good. Any way, if this was your, what would you chose? Here are a few pictures to get an idea... Thank you every one. I did find a nice piece of wood to hold the arm up while feeding the blade in the fret work and I can't get over how much easier it is to do that on this saw. The Fox was a bit hard to do as I had to take out both blade clamps and then take off the top clamp and put the blade in the hole and replace the clamp and then tilt the table to get the lower clamp back on and then the top one and then adjust the tension ....Aw shucks that was a bit too much work. So this saw will be a great saw and I like the ease of blade changing as well. Have a great day Fay

And the fret work wood pecker that Mr. Fox had started and big Yellow finished cutting. I was amazed at how much easier it was to get around some of those tight turns on the saw. The first project is the Scroll Man and the second is the wood pecker fret work. both are Steve Good's patterns. They are not quite finished as yet, but will be soon. I have yet to decide on a background for the wood pecker. These are not very good pictures. I need to find the charger for my camera and take better pictures. Enjoy Fay

Some one has told me to try draping it over the top arm of the saw, but I'm thinking that would make the light or the arm go wonk once the arm is lifted. I thought of fastening the light to the top shelf that is on the wall. I took out the lower shelf so the saw fits in that corner like a glove. Have a great night Fay

I noticed it seems to like the Olson's blades. I put in an FD blade and it seemed a little bit louder than it was. I did turn the motor speed up a tad and that could be it too. Still cuts great tho. Going to send the light back I think. It won't stay in place with out having to jerry rig it. I'm going to stop for the day. I'm tired now and I'm hungry so I best get some thing to eat. Hey Dick.,, Port Townsend is only about 30 miles from here where I'm staying in Sequim. Sis and I are staying with Mom so we can care for her. She is in her late 80's and her health is not good. I have an apartment in Port Angeles which is about 15 miles west of here. It is really pretty around here. Port Gamble is so pretty and I wonder how that town stays so clean and kept up. Yeppers.. will go down to attach the light to the saw in a little while. It came late yesterday and this should work out fine as far as lighting. Thanks every one for sharing my excitement with me... Wow! I need some thing like that for my fly rods. I'll have to try to make some thing like that or similar to it. All my rods are standing in the closet. Some are in special cases made for the fly rods. I haven't tied any flies or done any fly fishing in a long time. Hope to get back into it some time. I took the shelf along that back wall down and now the saw fits in there like a glove. No need to fasten it down but wish that light would get here. It hasn't shown up as yet so now I have a lamp on each side of the saw! Oh well the light will come maybe not today but should come soon. It was supposed to come today..... Cutting out a cute little project out now but going ot stop as it is stormy and wind and raining here now and losing daylight. Have a great night Fay

Big Yellow just arrive a little bit ago and it is all set up. I took a few pictures of it from the box to the set up. The light is not here yet and I'm guessing that will come by mail. I tired it out and like love it so far, but I'm going to have to fasten it down as I don't like the way the front part wants to stick out. Or I may cut off part of that shelf in the back corner and then it will slide back in there better and there would be more room for the front and it wouldn't stick out the way it is. Thanks all. I read some where that you have to attach the table to the body of the saw and it's ready except for putting in a blade and such. It looks like the table can tilt right and left. If it does, then this will be an interesting experience and doing the feeding from the top on fret work will be interesting too. First I'm going to make sure I read and understand the instructions for it. I'll make sure I take a few pictures and such. Have a great night Fay

They are getting ready to ship the saw and light. They say the delivery date is Saturday the 15th, but if UPS is delivering I doubt if it will be that early. UPS does not deliver on Saturdays. I'm guessing more like Tuesday as Monday is a holiday so no mail or UPS deliveries that I know of. Thanks for the warning on the weight of the saw. My fox was a bit heavy too and I got him up on the bench with no problems. I can get Sis to help me put it on the bench. Now to go clean up the shop and get ready... funny I do feel like I'm getting a nursery ready for a new baby. I hope it won't be like the Shop Fox. The first one was a zonk. When I got it , it didn't work at all. It sounded like a ride on mower and it kept throwing every thing off the machine so I sent it back and they sent a new one and it worked fine until the motor brushes wore out and maybe the bearing did too. I think it's worth getting it fixed and use it as a back up. I do want to finish my wood pecker fret work that I was working on. I'm sooo looking forward to it. I just ordered the Big Yellow saw today! I got the light also but will get the stand later. I think the saw will fit in the corner of my bench I measured that area today and I think it will be fine there. So tomorrow I'm going to move a few things a round to clear that space for yeller. I'm excited about getting the big yellow saw. Have a great night Fay

Great idea, but are the DeWalt lights really that dim? I have one of those lights that are supposed to help with depression and it works pretty good. I have it sitting on a coffee can and move it closer to the saw to get more light. It does fine for me but I'm hoping when I get my new saw it will be fine. Have a great day Fay

Thank you. I watched some you tubes on this saw and I like the idea of every thing being at the front of the saw and no need to reach way to the back of the saw to adjust the tension. Later I do plan to get a foot switch. I have been hearing about the switch problems so a foot switch should solve the problem. Looking forward to getting back on a saw. I still plan to get the fox fixed so I would have a back up incase some thing happens to the Yellow. ( whether he gets shot or not ) LOL! Have a great day Fay

Well they shot Old Yeller didn't t hey???? So he better be good to me! I think the moto saw from Dremel will get jealous for sure... I posted on the other forums that the fox gave me the middle blade and there is nothing like getting flipped off by one of my tools. He's been a good saw but the moto can only do little bitty projects so at least I can make little ornaments and such on that saw. I've got good news!!!!!!!!!! I was just approved for an Amazon credit card!!!!! I can get Big Yellow!... So I added the saw, the stand and the light to my wish list until my card arrives in the mail. It should be here with in a week or two. How ever, they said I can use the card immediately so I guess I'm definitely getting the new saw for my birthday!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I have information on brushes. Some one on the other forum sent a link to some and I may go ahead and order a set and use the fox for a back up saw. Any way I will have up to 6 months to pay for the saw and I can pay for it in about 2 or 3 months. Looking forward to the Big Yellow! Yippeeee!! Have a great night Fay
