Most (99%) of the time I use a reverse tooth blade.. About the only time I do not use then is in very delicate portrait or very thin wood type works.. I've also found that this will happen to me if i am pushing to much ( trying to go too fast ).. in many cases if this happens to me.. I'll speed up the saw to a faster blades speed and typically makes it easier to saw in these cases...

Very nice work as always.. You know, for me when a local buys something and wants to meet.. guess I'm impatient because most of the time they are always late by 15-30 minutes etc.. and I'm in the boonies so anywhere I go is at least a 20 minute ( 10-15 mile ) drive to get to the local town... so i many times just offer to ship it free .. most times it saves me money and time.. Might not be as easy for others to hunt down boxes etc though so i understand that.. Since I sell all the time online.. I bulk order boxes, mailers, and packing materials.. so it's always here..

I don't typically tell what I sell but just thought some might find what I'm selling interesting. This is today's orders.. I won't bore you all with every days orders.. LOL but anyway these orders came in today.. and I'm mailing them out in the morning other than the fishing clock.. I'm still making that one.. The plane ornament isn't today's order.. but one that I'm mailing out tomorrow.. Kind of a slower day today.. but maybe a better day tomorrow.. NOTE: It pays to keep Christmas ornaments on the site year round.. since I've just sold these two in the last few days..

Yeah I have two from Menards and the one that came with my Hawk has a better lens.. While the Menards ones aren't bad by any means.. just not as good as the one from Hawk

I often wondered about the cover being in the way or something.. I think it would probably annoy me..

Great to hear you at least did as good as last year.. Is mind boggling to earn the exact same money etc.. LOL.. was it all the same buyers buying the same puzzles again.. now that would be freaky.. If that happen to me I'd never go back

Mine isn't the same as the HF one but I think about the only difference is mine has no lid to cover the lens.. The LED bulb should work as long as you have the 4 pin connector.. Some of the bulbs I've heard have a two pin connector... or so I'm told.. but I've never seen one yet and I've also never seen a replacement bulb for a two pin connector.. So most likely you're good with the bulb.. I'm thinking the two pin ones are very old lights or something very odd.. Being a newer light since you just bought it.. It should have the correct ballast for the light to work. I don't think you have anything to worry about..

No these are made with the 3mm BB.. Wife and I disagree on the thickness for ornaments.. and I've asked several times on forums about it.. She feels the 3mm is too thin of material.. and like the 6mm better... However we both sort of agree that the 3mm is a little thin.. and we both agree that the 8mm is on the bulky side, LOL.. they need to make some 4mm or 5mm LOL

I've never seen the one HF has.. I bought mine from Menards.. other than the one that came with my Hawk.. I just like the lens cover.. but I assume I could probably make something that would work..

I'll look to be sure as the tags are still on them.. but I think they are Bella brand.. I bought them on black friday 2016 at Menards.. but.. I've seen them in Menards since then so i think they carry them.. I've seen them on their site before too... but I cannot seem to find them now.. I've also seen them at Joanne Fabrics as I think Walmart.. I'll look into it more and see if I can find them somewhere..I've actually posted a link to them when Iggy was looking for storage solutions for his puzzles last year.. maybe I can dig up the post to find them.. Edited to say.. I found the topic where I posted a link.. but the link is not what I have.. just similar.. without the lock / latching system.. I cannot seem to find them.. Next time I go up in the loft I'll take the UPC numbers and figure out what they are.. as I am curious too.. since I'd like to buy a few more..

Yeah, i actually thought about doing that with some paper board like old cereal boxes or something.. But actually they stay put pretty well.. the only ones that may slide around much is the short stacks that only have a couple and no other surrounding it.. a piece of non-slip drawer liners from the dollar store on the bottom of the drawer would work well for that.. last year early fall is when I got these.. and set them up.. I should have showed my little numbers.. but I have the drawers numbered and part numbers wrote on the bottom of the drawer so I can see what ornament was supposed to be in the stack if I run out.. which you can clearly see I ran out of a lot of them, LOL.. I also have the part number set up on my web site so i know what drawer and position within the drawer the ornament should be.. Edit to say: I don't think these would work out all that well for those that go to shows.. I'm certain they'd get bounce all around if you moved the drawers and loading them in the car etc.. But I don't have to worry about that stuff..

These drawers are awesome for storing my ornaments.. Much better than the way I did when i first started out.. by just stacking them in small storage bins.. they always use to get messed up and made for digging through the bin to find the ornament I needed.. These stay in their select location for the most part unless i get rough and close the drawer too hard.. Just thought this might be of help to others that sell ornaments.. and the frustration of spending an hour digging for one in a storage tote, LOL

Pick me up a couple .. I like those better than the ones I have.. while mine was about the same price.. mine don't have that flip down lid. my saws sit by two windows in my shop and I am always having to cover the lens.. as I worry about the sun shining in and setting something on fire.. I remember playing with magnifying glass as a kid setting papers and things on fire with them LOL..

I switched mine over to LED's.. The bulbs I bought were just plug N play.. NOW... I did upgrade some very old 4ft shop lights to LED and the old ones do not have electronic ballast so I bought the direct wired LED bulbs.. I also bought some LED shop lights from Sams club.. I ended up taking them back... because the direct wired tube replacements was much brighter than the standard LED shop lights i bought, LOL... I also have some shop lights with the electronic ballast.. and bought the LED's that are plug and play with the ballast.. Those are very bright too.. Not sure if using the ballast requires more energy or not.. but the LED bulbs that run on the ballast are about half the cost of those that are direct wired... As for the magnifier light.. all the LED bulbs I purchased was much brighter than the standard florescent.. But the one I purchased off ebay was much brighter than those I bought at Menards locally.. Also the one from eBay has a rotating plug pin connector.. the other bulb didn't have this and the angle of the pins vrs where my plug is on the light do not match up very well and is quite a poor fit for my light.. I won't buy another one without the rotating connector.. All that said.. They are puzzle patterns that I modified to be non puzzles and then down sized to about 4.5" long by about 2' high... cut from 1/8" BB ply..

I didn’t get much shop time on this (finally ) nice day. But I managed to get about 2 hours of saw dust making. I only got 8 of the BBQ and 4 each of the Cow and Unicorn. I resized the puzzle patterns and then edited some of the details. I resize these so they fit in my ornament gift boxes which are 3-3/4 x 5 inches. Thing I like about ornaments over the puzzles is less wood, production cutting, ( stack cutting) less paper used as I arrange 4 patterns onto one sheet of paper. Not much space needed for inventory. BBPly is only $15 a 5 x 5 sheet. Not sure how many ornaments I can get out of a sheet but it’s allot, lol. Then they sell for $16 each quite well for me.

You did pretty good with those.. I'd never try cutting one of those with a puzzle blade.. unless you cut those from thin material?
