  1. Good work Friend. jerry
  2. A week or 2 ago the subject came up about dust in the switch of a Dewalt/Delta. Today I put 2" blue tape over mine. Time will tell if it holds up. I first wrapped a piece on the curved part in front. Next put a piece over half of the switch (on top). If you do that, take a scissors & cut along the side where the wrinkle would be before folding the side down. jerry
  3. Just my 1 1/2 cents worth. Perhaps a large sewing needle. jerry
  4. Jim, you should hang your head in shame for even starting this nonsense.
  5. I think it has to do with the alignment of the planets. jerry
  6. If you're gonna dream anyway, pick a subject like Stormy Daniels, or ________ . But scroll sawing? Why lead a dull life?? jerry
  7. Both my Religion & my Morals tell me to be a humble person. As I stated quit some time ago the heading "Bragging Rights" grates on me. You are certainly free to think & feel what you want. That is your right. I will continue to think of my work "as nothing special".
  8. In 1994 Audrey & I built a home in the country outside of Marshalltown, Iowa. Have since retired & moved. Marshalltown has one of the prettiest Courthouses in the State. About a month ago an EF3 tornado went almost straight down Main St. The Courthouse lost it's steeple, all or parts of chimneys and decorative pieces on top. It was built in 1882 and the original molds were kept. They will be able to restore most of it. When 1 or more chimneys crumbled, it set off the sprinklers on all 3 levels, but no one knew it for a while. JBS/Swift pork packing plant is 1 of the 3 largest employers. 2 walls of the cooling room were blown off. They hauled 24 million pounds of cut up pork to the landfill. 24 million is 1/2 the normal tonnage that the landfill usually takes in annually. At the tail end of the tornado path, the National Weather Service stated that it was just slightly over a half mile wide. In addition to the pork, the landfill will be taking in all that debris also. I cut an image of the damaged Courthouse and glued/stapled it to a 11" X 14" flag. We donated it to the Community College and they agreed to permanently display it. 13.9 hours on the meter to cut it. jerry
  9. I have never used mineral spirits. Some time ago, I told this site that 3M 77 & 45 nozzles clog up between usage. Was told to remove the nozzle after spraying & throw it in MS. Looked online where I could buy it locally. True Value came up as the closest from here. A quart was the smallest container. That's enough to last me 4 more lifetimes. jerry
  10. I buy it at True Value Hardware. Don't know if hardware stores do, or can, sell it in CA. Maybe I could trade you some for marijuana?? jerry
  11. If I click the Home Page tab first, can get right in. jerry
  12. Decades ago there was a really nice family living in our small Iowa town. On the day of their daughters wedding, just before leaving for Church, one of the parents decided to go to the bathroom for a # 2. When finished, a candle was lit to get rid of the smell. As the family attended Church, their house was totaled by fire. To this day, I have more fear of an innocent looking little candle flame that I would have a momma bear protecting her cubs. jerry
  13. I've never changed mine. Do the teeth go towards you, or on the backside? jerry
  14. I have always been happy with this company. http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/default.htm Unless it's for a backer, I only order "Good Both Sides". For the number of hours spent on a fret piece, I consider the extra cost very reasonable to have 2 sides to choose from. jerry
  15. I just breath it all in !!! jerry
  16. Possibly. IF you were to cut out large fret shapes, you would be able to see dowels looking "down into the cut out holes". jerry
  17. You stated that there are dowel holes. If you do fretwork, you will need to work around them. Nice find. Am sure you will make beautiful items. jerry
  18. With Inkscape, it is so easy a caveman could do it. e-mail [email protected] for instructions. You would need to; 1. Download Inkscape. https://inkscape.org/en/release/0.92.3/ 2. Have a scan of the area that you want your text. You only need to perform a few easy steps, to accomplish what you want. jerry
  19. Grainger is an old company that we dealt with for years. Always satisfied. https://www.grainger.com/category/electrical-supplies/electrical/ecatalog/N-q9s?okey=117+volt+remote+outlet&mkey=117+volt+remote+outlet&refineSearchString=117+volt+remote+outlet&NLSCM=17&EndecaKeyword=117+volt+remote+outlet&searchBar=true&searchRedirect=117+volt+remote+outlet jerry
  20. Re your wedding pattern.  If it's a Sue Mey pattern, it would have been e-mailed to you.  I'm not techie enough to know if you can forward it to me or not.  I would not make a copy for myself, as I would have no use for it.  Could probably add your text & send it back.  Another option would be to use snail mail.

  21. Thanks. a good lookin wife will do that to you.
  22. My 1 1/2 cents worth. I & a lot of others think there is a blade to fence error, but could be too slight to correct. Instead of cutting all the way around, in a rotating fashion, try cutting one side, skip a side & cut the opposite side. Repeat for the other sides. That way you will only have a tiny error on each side. If you keep going around, the "error" keeps getting worse. jerry
  23. I would be happy to do it, however; 1. Would need to know the EXACT radius, & the total length of the letters desired & what font you want. 2. Since it is a purchased pattern, you can't send it to me. You could message me for an address & send a copy of that portion of the pattern. Maybe others have a better idea. jerry
  24. Two possible thoughts; 1. If it's not an expensive saw, is the motor not staying solid? 2. To me, I have often found that the blade isn't perfectly aligned with the fence. To check this, run the blade as high as it will go. Feed a scrap into the blade enough to cut through the board top & bottom. DON'T TELL OSHA I SAID THIS!!! Go to the other side of the saw, push down hard on the saw & slowly and carefully feed into the same cut. (You could probably do this without the saw running, if you want to live to a ripe old age). If the cut gets wider, it's a fence out of alignment. BTW, You do excellent work Friend. jerry
  25. If I could do anything that good, I'd go right to the bathroom for a Number 2. jerry
