  1. Thank you. I have never seen a pattern for these. I draw my own. There is a free program online called polydraw. After I draw one I take it to Office Depot and they will enlarge it to 15 inches and print them on the plotter.
  2. Wow great price.
  3. Had a guy at church that wanted to buy a couple of bowls. Here is what I made for him.
  4. I don’t get a lot of fuzzies. What I do get I burn off with a small torch in a couple of minutes.
  5. I use the FD 3/0 spirals on everything I cut. Never had that problem. I always push, very seldom pull.
  6. I use black paper. I use spray glue on the back of the piece and then add a few staples to make sure it stays.
  7. I keep trying different colors and almost always end up back at black.
  8. I have never cut 1/8 inch but a friend told me that the extra depth of the 1/4 inch made the finished product look a lot better.
  9. I cheat. I use spiral blades.
  10. I personally wouldn't go with anything thicker than 1/4". I use 1/4" plywood from Lowes. They have Birch, Oak and Maple. I have not had any problems with it yet. I usually stack cut three. Here is an example of the detail I cut in it with no problems.
  11. Welcome to the village Bobby. I don't know anything about that saw but don't see how you could go wrong for $20.
  12. I have also bought from Ocooch a few times. Great selection, good prices and shipping.
  13. I pretty much agree with what John said. I also use it for making pens, seam rippers and bottle stoppers. If you sand the resin you will have to sand it to very fine to get rid of the scratches and make it clear again. I usually sand mine up to 12,000.
  14. Hi Bob. I am one of the rare scrollers that only uses spiral blades. I use a Dewalt saw so the tension works different but I have found a way that it returns to the same setting every time. I lift up on the blade with my left hand and push down on the upper arm with my right hand while tightening the knob. This gives me the same tension every time. Hope this helps.
  15. My only advice would be don't start with a piece of junk. Some of the cheap saws will vibrate from a little to a lot. Some don't have friendly blade holders. I would hate to see somebody get turned off to scrollsawing because of bad saw.
  16. Thanks for the heads up.
  17. I sold my Hitachi 10 inch and bought a Kobalt 10 inch double compound sliding miter with laser. It was $200. I am very happy with it. It cuts perfect angles. I adjusted the laser and it is dead on.
  18. Thanks everybody.
  19. Nice work Brenda. Congrats on your retirement.
  20. My wife wants me to make her some hair clips. This is not the one I made, mine is in the shop bending. The one I made looks just like this out of purple heart. Does anybody have any tips for bending wood?
  21. Hope all goes well and smooth. Sounds like you better start looking for a good heater for the new shop.
  22. I bought a Cutech 6 inch joiner with helical head and really like it.
  23. I had the same problem with my very old table saw. Every place I look the motors were $350 to $400. Then I went to Grizzly tools an got a motor for under $200. Check out Grizzly they have a lot of motors at a great price.
  24. Couldn't agree more. I moved out 22 years ago and that was the best move we ever made.
  25. Glad you got it back.
