  1. I have had my Makita for 30 + years and it still works great.
  2. I also have the Rigid sander. I am very happy with it. It also has a lifetime warranty on everything including the motor.
  3. I put some led lights in my shop too. The best part is they dont have to warm up on a cold day. They come on full brightness.
  4. Send the picture to yourself in an email then open it with your computer.
  5. I use plexiglass. I bought a v-nailer from work when they shut the doors real cheap.
  6. I use spiral blades most of the time. The main difference is I turn the wood just like you would using a flat blade.
  7. Welcome to the Village Tyler. I don't do anything to the sides because I frame most of my work. I spray everything with a clear to stop the dust inside the frame. I always start in the middle at the most delicate spot and work out.
  8. Very nice work Phil. Looking forward to hearing a review when you get some time on it.
  9. Spiral are all I use. The big box blades don't last. I also bought some Pegas blades at Woodcraft and had a lot of trouble with them breaking. I use Flying Dutchman new 3/0 spiral. I have had very good luck with thwm. I tension them very tight and have no trouble. I cut this with two blades.
  10. Yep this is also what I do.
  11. I am looking to get a larger heater for my shop. I have seen a few ceiling mount garage heaters 220 volt 5,000 watt for around $80. My shop is 12 by 24 and that should heat it fine
  12. Happy New Year. It would have to be pattern making for me. It's too cold to go in the shop.
  13. My wife wanted a snowman. I made her a 6 foot snowman.
  14. I made the bowl for our friend Betty because she saw the one my wife has and loved it. I made the Army Veteran for our cousin David. David is retired Army. I made the Air Force Veteran for our cousin Mario. Mario is retired Air Force. Not scrollsaw related but I made the big basket for my wife.
  15. Thanks Bill. Merry Christmas to you and yours and everybody here. I have learned a lot here.
  16. What brand blades are you using? I had that problem with Pegas spiral blades. I use Flying Dutchman New 3/0 spiral and have no problems.
  17. Sounds good.
  18. The only Pegas blades I have tried are their spiral blades. They kept breaking. The FD new 3/0 spirals work great for me and last longer.
  19. Happy Birthday and congrats on the saw.
  20. I normally stack cut 3 pieces of 1/4" plywood. I use Flying Dutchman new 3/0 spiral blades. The only time I use a straight blade is when cutting 3/4" hardwood.
  21. Sounds like a great weekend. Nice variety.
  22. Very nice lamps.
  23. Very cool. I learned a couple of things that will help a lot. Thanks for posting.
  24. Congrats on ordering the DeWalt. I have had mine for around five years and love it. I would recommend two things. Turn the switch on and put some tape over it to keep the dust out and get a foot switch to turn the saw on and off.
