  1. Welcome to the village. Your work looks good. Keep it going.
  2. Very nice Berta.
  3. Looks great Merlin. Very clever idea for the storage.
  4. Thanks everybody.
  5. I use the FD new 3/0 spiral for all of my fretwork. Plywood stacked to 3/4 inch and hardwood up to 3/8 inch thick. They are my favorite blade.
  6. Yes sounds good.
  7. Are you using wood or acrylic blanks? I would love to see some pictures.
  8. Congrats on the sale.
  9. Randy where did you find that. I went to Seyco's Web site to check the price and it is not on there.
  10. Wow $100, that is awesome. I never thought one of these would sell for that much.
  11. Very nice Bruce. I love the subject. Beautiful job cutting. After seeing the Danish oil finish I am going to have to get some.
  12. I bought a pine board at Lowe's that is 16 inches wide by 6 feet long. It is actually 1 by 4 boards glued together to make the board. The stain I used is called gunstock. This is the one I finished today.
  13. It got up to 58. We are back down to 30 today and flurries.
  14. Bob I have had my DW 788 for 3 or 4 years now. I have had no problems with it. I do not cut as much as some of the others here but I do use it quite a bit during the warmer months. It is no louder than my wife's sewing machine and runs very smooth. Hope this helps. Welcome to the Village.
  15. It finally warmed up enough to go in the shop today. I needed to finish some Christmas presents. I made a bowl for my wife's cousin. Made a pen for a friend. Made a seam ripper for my wife but forgot to take a picture of it.
  16. Jim your video wouldn't play for me. I have a DW 788. Mine sounds like my wife's sewing machine. I can hear it run but no rattling or clanging. I would suggest checking all of the bolts and nuts including going in inside and checking the bearings.
  17. Mike just reminded my of making picture frames. I also couldn't get by without my frame joiner/ v-nailer and my compound miter saw.
  18. Congrats Ike.
  19. It's $489 at Amazon with free two day shipping with prime.
  20. Looks great. I would expect to be able to cut a couple out with one blade. You could wear the blade out sooner if the saw is running fast and the blade is getting too hot or if you are pushing too hard. I cut out an October Cross with only two blades in 3/8" purple heart using FD new 3/0 spirals. I run medium speed and just let the saw do the cutting.
  21. Nice cutting Bob.
  22. Very nice Kris. I am going to have to give pattern making a try one of these days.
  23. I have a DW 788. The 5 inch blades work fine. In fact they are long enough that I leave the extra in the bottom clamp. I have had blades break at the top clamp and had enough extra at the bottom that I just move the blade up and am back in business.
  24. All I can do is mirror what others have said. I could not do without my footswitch, oscillating spindle sander or air compressor with different air tools.
