  7. Your best bet is to buy a new motor from Delta Some times you are better off buying a new saw depending on the age of the saw.
  8. I worked in a motor manufacturing plant for 28 years and unless you have a schematic all you can do is guess if you combine any of these wires togather be syre and check them all out with an ohm meter you should get no reading if you do and run it that way ;you will short out the motor . if you know the company yu mignt be able to find out other wise lots of luck.
  9. another ting about stack cutting. when doing fretwork you need to stack at least 2 pieces of plywood the bottom one is a throwaway because plywood chips.Oh the train the bottom piece was full of chips, but I can mount it so they =won't show. in some cases you can't do that so when stacking 3 pcs. you end up with 2 good ones. or maybe the top one chips and sometimes they do.So always stack and save the other pieces you may sell them sometime.

  17. It depends on how good the friend is. a good friend i would give it to himfor the price of the frame but he is furnishing the frame. so my charge would be $o and I stack and would have 3 others to se..
  18. 5Welcome Helmut. thanks for showing your work. looks great.mu anceatry is german. I traced my family tree and i got to the year of 1595 to Jacob Eichelberge but could get no further. again welcome to the village.

  20. If I don't care for some work I usually say something is not up to standard because the cutter is a beginner I will say that the curves are the most difficult part of scrolling.
  21. I usually run on #5 setting.
  22. when i feel that the blade needs a little extra force to cut it is time to change.another way is to feel the blade and if it is hot you should change. I just cut a pattern with 335 holes I used 3 sized blades I used 1 # 2 - 5 # 3 and 2 # 5. that is a total of 8 blades or $4 worth of blades. When I felt that it was getting harder to saw with a blade I changed. Experiance will be your best teacher. The blades you get with a scroll saw are not top notch blades. I recommend Olson's or Flying dutchmans . they are alittle more coastly but are worth it, I use mostly Olsons and that is my feelings of what is a top blade.
  23. They are both great but I like the guitar one best
