  1. I just bought a used DW 788 and the nomenclature is not on the motor is there any other differences that I can tell if it is a Type 1 or type 2? it runs good and smooth .

  4. The repair shop knows the mechanics of the scroll saw but don't know how to tweak it in Look at your saw and you will see one bolt that holds the ypper arm in ;lace loosen it a bit and the arm comes down at proper seed

Jon - excuse it is a cllick and lock arm by Big foot inds. it is a arm that is mounted on the side of the DW 788 it has a nilon bolt that rest against the saw and when you rais the arm it clicks under the saw.google click and lock by big foot and you will see it. It cost about $20 + shipping but it could me made for about $4

  13. I bought a padded bar stool at a yard sale for $2.50 it is the perfect height.
  14. I forgot one thing a face mask to keep the sawdust oout of my lungs.
  15. The 2 most appreciated accessories that I have is the foot pedal and the click and save for my Dewalt scroll saw.

    Welcome linda. i am IKE and we all welcome you. There is plenty of patterns all free. We do like pictures of what you make and your saw. so dig in and make yourself at home.
  17. I have the same drill press It does the job in our line of hobby. I don't think that I paid that much for it but it is worth it. Hay DW I have one in my Sholom which is 8X10. also have a 10 in table saw. When i want to use the table saw I push the Scroll saw back into its hole and pull out the table saw. A the end of the day I put my lawn mower in the shed for the night, it's how you have your shop lied out. I also have a 28 in X 7 ft. work bench.
