Good find. I get my wood at the mill . but I have to dry it myself( Air Drying takes between 8 months and a year.) It's free but 32 cents per foot is really a better deal.

I got an Email from some person that has a dvd disk of 1600 plans that he wants to sell . this has been around before and it is a rip off. These plans are all on the internet and are free.Before he gets don with you you have several $$$$$ owed to him. Just a warning. IKE

I have used both and glueing to the board I have to use paint thiner to remove the glue from the board.

My dw went down last November and I was lost for 2 weeks while it was on repair. I told my wife if it goes down again I will buy a chippie to hold me over. I am real happy with it if it is a good runner. the seller is a religious regions person she wouldn't sell anything she knew wasn't right.

It is about 7 years old and the nomenclature on the motor is missing. By the age os it I would say it is a #1

I bought a scroll saw from a friends mother in law . The Hus Husbin been dead for about 2 years and she said I could try it out to make sure that it runs good. he bought it about 7 years ago it was refurbished. It's a DEW788 The table has rust on it but I can cure that with some Masonite or such. and the Charge is $150. I don't feel like I can go wrong by trying it out for a month as she said I could. It makes a good back up for my DW788. IKE

It could be cheep blades. that make them break. and for the blade slipping try some screw siege it really helps.

I made one last year and I got the pattern from Steve Good web site.

I have used them. They are a bit big for scroll work, so I don't bother any more I sand the project and them use a stiff scrubbing brush and that usually takes care of any burrs..

I agree with Kevin , if they are ok take a volt meter set it on residence hold one cord to a wire of the motor and tthe other to the motor frame this will test the motor for a short, which is usually the problems with the motor.. you should get no reading on the ohm meter.
