    Finally its done, final size is 44" X 32" pattern by DonR thanks Don.

I've made my own stain on several occasions but never purple but I've used berries of different types so a blue or black berry may work for you I mashed them up in a blender and screened the the stems and skins and seeds out with a cloth then added plain rubbing alcohol I don't have the ratio anymore but the last time I just experimented with it One thing I did find was pine was really difficult as it has so much oil in it good luck. I may not been much help but I can tell you that it does work. .../Hans
  3. think Happy thoughts only Kevin your on a good path by cleaning and organizing your work area you'll enjoy going out there to work so much more. As far as your health, eat healthy get exercise and think happy and positive thoughts and last but not least don't let the doctors over medicate you, do your home work and find a doctor that will help to cure you not just treat the symptoms. I know its not easy but you can do it.

  6. yes Kevin I stand up to scroll I always have. I cut the portrait into squares of 4 pieces then they will be trimmed to true them up and glued together onto a back board its a large project but then I don't do to many small ones as you know.

  8. I have one and wear it only when I have to do some staining other then that it takes up a spot on the wall next to the light switch. Mine is made of denim and i bought it many years ago from lee Valley

  11. thanks Paul great pattern also I'll run them by my friend as he want them as murals 32 x 44 " I feel more detail would be better but I'll stick them on paper to my wall and see thanks Paul

A friend of mine had this drawing from his brother and asked if I could cut it I told him it depends if I can find a designer with a big heart So I thought designers, big hearts, and scroll saw and I thought of you guys right away.   15. I find using a heat gun to warm up the painters tape works well but using mineral spirits is probably the best and cheapest.

  17. Hello Wayne its a matter of fact I've been thinking of raising my saw up more as I find it a bit low still I'm an upstanding kind of a guy, I just can't concentrate on the job when I sit.

  22. Ask around Jerry it won't be clean very long I've been known to put out one piece after the other and create a mess in no time just stand by
  23. its a trailer Edward and its 24 x 81/2 feet my working area your looking at is about 8 x 10 there is a heater by the saw and a propane furnace in the centre of the trailer its quite cozy
  24. this shot is from the far end and shows my working area, the other end I'm going to keep for lumber storage for now. NOTE the heater by the saw?
