  4. Vince welcome back to the world of scrolling you say maybe you can catch up on lost time NEVER scrolling is like sex when you don't do it one day you'll never get that day back or the opportunity Oh you know what I mean it sounded better in my head. Ok you start by throwing away all your straight blades and only buy spirals once you master them you'll never go back Don't become another spiral hater. Anyway have fun and enjoy what you do and please show us pictures of your work we love pictures. .../Hans
  5. I have no Idea where I found it Travis but I'm glad i found the artist She's really popular here in Mexico at this time of the year. You mean to tell me you never cut it yourself? Anyway thanks its a great pattern and fun to cut.
  6. Its has been obvious that I'm not a photographer but part of the problem is that I Have tried to help out some of the designers as theft of their patterns is running rampant so my camera is just out of focus and the picture slightly at an angle. Its still very visible and I hope that it will help the cause. Thanks for your patients in this matter. .../Hans
  7. Some one say Helpful? Hello Sherry welcome to the village you've successfully made the first two steps into what some people call a hobby, I call it an addiction. Step 1 Saw step 2 seek and find the nicest people in the world to help you become a star in scrolling. Plenty of free patterns and info not always free cause you have to listen to some old turkey whose been running his saw since conception, but a small price to pay. Well have fun and make lots of sawdust and remember we love pictures so share your works ( nobody has laught so far) .../Hans

  11. Its done already Jim I painted it white to make it look like snow
  12. Great Pattern by Charles Dearing
  13. I think I'd go for the hawk, simply on reputation only. Resale value you can always get your money back out of it and 2 if you decide for door #2 the DW788 it will be more then likely be a type 2 and people are dumping them for the upgrade to a hawk. The warranty on the Dw isn't that great anyway and only good til the saw is at its wear out point then your on your own. No I'd go for the Hawk. .../Hans
  14. I use spirals #3 and #1 99% all of the time I will use a straight if I have a long straight line to cut like the outside of a portrait but other than that its spirals I do prefer the flat end spirals over the others though they are generally a bit more money but worth it in the end. .../Hans

  21. The cut of the day
  22. Great job both the pattern and the cut I'm sure they'll be pleased.
  23. I think messing with your setscrew will only put your blade out of square with the table so that to me isn't a solution, What I do when installing a new blade I put my blade in the top first making sure its all the way back in the clamp then lower my arm and fasten the blade in the bottom clamp so now I know my blade is in all the way then I loosen the top and bottom load and retighten the top clamp this way everything is straight and I never have a problem. .../Hans
  24. No No No I am the boss over the spirals I do the feeding and they cut what I feed them so if your having problems with the spirals its probably your feeding it to much or not sticking to your lines.
