  1. Although I've never personally purchased a pattern from these people but have made many of their patterns into a reality remember my bridge is one of theirs as far shipping just ask them if it is downloadable to safe on the shipping cost, most folks do that now. I see the free sample one is downloadable so I don't see why the rest wouldn't be. Good luck. PS Kevin I already knew about these guys I drool on their pages regularly.
  2. Hello Garcia welcome to the village Hope you'll like it here its just a bunch of friendly people that share a common interest in woodworking, scrolling and intarsia. Checked out your Gallery very impressive my friend. Grab a coffee and browse around lots of interesting stuff and people. .../Hans
  3. I have typed in the brand model and serial number of a saw I just bought second hand and Google came up with the year manufactured so give that a try
  4. Excellent Job Steve Its one I may have to take on, but there is just so many nice patterns to cut and just so little time But You did a great job on this one.
  5. Oregon Jibaro workshop and design Its a free pattern offered on Facebook
  6. Thanks guys have no fear Hans is here Paul
  7. I never go over !/2 inch as the blades will start to go out of square so the bottom piece won't be the same size as the top piece but to each its own you can experiment with more it all depends on the saw, the wood and the skill level of the operator.
  8. I use blue painters tape on all my projects, tape the 2 pieces together than glue your pattern on them, to remove the tape off the plywood just apply a little heat on the tape with a hair dryer or a heatgun, if you have one and the tape lifts right off the plywood with little or no damage at all. If you glue the pattern directly on your project and you do any sort of fret work you have to sand the pattern off and that can get really tricky so for the cost of the tape I prefer to avoid the sanding part. Good luck hope it clears it up for you. .../Hans
  9. I deal with cheap plywood all the time and quite successfully I find using fine teeth blades Stack cutting and tape are my answer slow the saw down will help somewhat and don't push it. .../Hans
  10. Keep it up Kelly it takes one hole at the time to create a master piece and your well on your way. Now tell me what size blade you have in your scroll saw? It looks huge. .../Hans
  11. I like Mikes blades also but he won't ship to Mexico

  13. Welcome to the village Kelly This is the only site that has a worldwide membership where we use from the most sophisticated saws to plain old hand saws The membership reaches from Europe to Australia to Canada and USA and last but not least there are members like myself in Mexico its amazing a hobby so stretched out world wide. Anyway lots of free patterns for your use, we love to see pictures of your finished and not so finished projects. Main thing is have fun.
  14. As I mentioned before Craft Sales are a gimmick to make money for the proprietor not the vendors when some one walks into a craft sale with 20 bucks in their pocket or more I don't care and there are over 200 vendors competing for that little cash what are the odds of you getting any? I prefer the home show by invitation that way they come to your house almost feeling they have to spend something as you put so much work into this, serve them cheap hot wine and some crackers its a no fail system I used it for many years and did way better then any craft sale no overhead besides the cheap wine of course .../Hans
  15. Thanks everyone for your compliments its truly a treasure.
  16. Try to cut with a pushing motion if your using Spiral blades if not Use a bigger blade like a #9 and don't push it let the blade cut. hope this helps you.

  20. Way to go Roly
  21. Thanks Paul I belong to a lot of internet scroll saw clubs most of them are from Russia, Ukraine. Check, Egypt, Iraq, Israel Etc now none of these counties have a copy right law so they'll post everything. It took me years to get all these connections, and with all the unrest in the world my list is getting smaller as countries are banning internet with outside countries.
  22. Great novelty Christmas Idea Frank I like it and the patterns are endless I'll give you an A+
