  1. Try to cut with a pushing motion if your using Spiral blades if not Use a bigger blade like a #9 and don't push it let the blade cut. hope this helps you.
  2. I guess nobody wants to know that I'm still scrolling wearing my shorts and a T shirt I don't even own a heater
  3. A nice piece Jim My choice of edge would be an ogie bit also something to consider is a bit of an edge on the bottom for easy pick up of the table, just a thought .../Hans

  6. Way to go Roly
  7. Thanks Paul I belong to a lot of internet scroll saw clubs most of them are from Russia, Ukraine. Check, Egypt, Iraq, Israel Etc now none of these counties have a copy right law so they'll post everything. It took me years to get all these connections, and with all the unrest in the world my list is getting smaller as countries are banning internet with outside countries.
  8. Great novelty Christmas Idea Frank I like it and the patterns are endless I'll give you an A+
  9. Welcome to the Village Patrick, please make yourself at home, here we are all just friends who have gone through the same learning process as you're about to venture on, it takes a bit of time and a lot of wood to practice but it will all work out for the best. Hell many of us scrollers have been at it for 40, 50 and even 60 years and we're still learning. Just remember that it takes 1 hole at a time to create a master piece. And don't be to hard on your self. Get used to using the spiral blades cause once you master them you'll wonder how people can scroll without them. Good luck and show us your progress we love to look at pictures. .../Hans
  10. Thanks Frank
  11. Money talks Kevin at least mine does it always say's goodbye
  12. Well Thank you Kevin I guess it all comes down to, are you a scroller for profit or is scrolling your interest and hobby. As you know I don't sell any of my pieces so it is strictly my interest and in order to keep me interested I have to challenge myself each time. I literally scour the internet for hours looking for patterns that I want to cut I seldom buy patterns as I live on a very small pension and just cant afford to buy my patterns, besides at the speed I go through patterns there just wouldn't be enough money for groceries and patterns if you know what I mean
  13. Thank you yes it was all cut with #1 spirals and plenty of them as this is so intricate you have to make sure you use sharp blades or the vibration and the force pressure breaks pieces out.
  14. Linda and Dan its the music from music box dancer.
