  1. Although I've never personally purchased a pattern from these people but have made many of their patterns into a reality remember my bridge is one of theirs as far shipping just ask them if it is downloadable to safe on the shipping cost, most folks do that now. I see the free sample one is downloadable so I don't see why the rest wouldn't be. Good luck. PS Kevin I already knew about these guys I drool on their pages regularly.
  2. Hello Garcia welcome to the village Hope you'll like it here its just a bunch of friendly people that share a common interest in woodworking, scrolling and intarsia. Checked out your Gallery very impressive my friend. Grab a coffee and browse around lots of interesting stuff and people. .../Hans
  3. The day I trimmed my Thumbnail with a table saw was when I decided it was time for glasses, A table saw one of the best tools ever invented but must be respected if your new to it make sure you keep all safety gadgets in place use push sticks and no distractions in your shop. This is one tool that requires full concentration. Have fun with it. The use is unlimited. .../Hans PS next investment is a router table NO?
  4. I have typed in the brand model and serial number of a saw I just bought second hand and Google came up with the year manufactured so give that a try
  5. Excellent Job Steve Its one I may have to take on, but there is just so many nice patterns to cut and just so little time But You did a great job on this one.

  7. Thanks guys have no fear Hans is here Paul
  8. Paul that has happened on a few instances But I always over come you see using fruit juices as stain you can use bleach to clean it up again and re-do It doesn't take it all of but enough to redo the piece and if all else fails make a new one.
  9. I never go over !/2 inch as the blades will start to go out of square so the bottom piece won't be the same size as the top piece but to each its own you can experiment with more it all depends on the saw, the wood and the skill level of the operator.
  10. Congratulations Dick I don't know how you did it or better yet how your wife did it I never surpassed 13 years in 2 attempts, that is definitely a great feat. Just goes to show you a family that scrolls together stays together. .../Hans
  11. I use blue painters tape on all my projects, tape the 2 pieces together than glue your pattern on them, to remove the tape off the plywood just apply a little heat on the tape with a hair dryer or a heatgun, if you have one and the tape lifts right off the plywood with little or no damage at all. If you glue the pattern directly on your project and you do any sort of fret work you have to sand the pattern off and that can get really tricky so for the cost of the tape I prefer to avoid the sanding part. Good luck hope it clears it up for you. .../Hans
  12. I deal with cheap plywood all the time and quite successfully I find using fine teeth blades Stack cutting and tape are my answer slow the saw down will help somewhat and don't push it. .../Hans
  13. Hi Kelly 73.4 degrees here right now a bit of overcast and some drizzle but we haven't seen rain here for weeks well I best get back to my sweetheart (DeWalt) got sawdust and designer kindling to make. You have a great day .../Hans
  14. the colour difference is a coincident created by the light its all made from cheap plywood, I was thinking stain everything but the mirror frame and the main cabinet a wine red I make my own stain with fruit juices so its hard to describe the colour but wine red is about as close as I can come
  15. I had 2 wifes Kevin they both had a chance.
  16. Keep it up Kelly it takes one hole at the time to create a master piece and your well on your way. Now tell me what size blade you have in your scroll saw? It looks huge. .../Hans

  20. As I mentioned before Craft Sales are a gimmick to make money for the proprietor not the vendors when some one walks into a craft sale with 20 bucks in their pocket or more I don't care and there are over 200 vendors competing for that little cash what are the odds of you getting any? I prefer the home show by invitation that way they come to your house almost feeling they have to spend something as you put so much work into this, serve them cheap hot wine and some crackers its a no fail system I used it for many years and did way better then any craft sale no overhead besides the cheap wine of course .../Hans
  21. Thanks everyone for your compliments its truly a treasure.
