  1. I spend part of my day searching for more blades all I've been able to find besides pinned blades are Dremmel #7 blades pretty coarse for what I do, now these people are the DeWalt dealer ship as well as the dremmel. So I finally found the manager and asked him if thats all the blades he had and his reply was yes dremmel quit making blades so we can't get anymore. I had the name and number for a Olson distributor in the US but he said he wasn't ordering any more blades as there were still so many pinned type left and thats what the majority of the people that have scroll saws use. I told him mine doesn't it takes pinless so he suggested I buy one of those Dremmel ones that you drive with your dremmel moto tool So my adventure was just that an adventure so I'm going to talk to someone who handles good blades and see if we can get a distributor here in Mexico.
  2. Thanks everyone for the great compliments Its my pleasure to make and show these pieces to you and I thrive on the comments. It makes me want to do better with each project. time after time I run into bad patterns like this one was, but then I just pick myself up and restart. I hope to make a bird cage thats taller and even more intricate than this one but first I have to get some other projects out of the way.
  3. Russel the bird cage is 8" long x 6" wide by 8" high to small for a bird besides I like my birds free this is the second cage I made the first one was to small and due to the material being to week I had to abort that projects and increase the size the first one was 6 x 4 x 6 I used real sticks whittled down to 1MM so they are really week also but altogether it came out all right I'm on to my next project all ready.
  4. Got the pattern from a scroll saw friend in Egypt
  5. They are fun to make and easy to sell but they do take a lot of space on your table
  6. Excellent craftsmanship You definitely earned the bragging rights on this one she's a beaut to admire Thanks for showing it of I love it.
  7. Great cuts Dick, I don't know a thing about pricing in the US but 35 dollars each sounds fair
  8. There is no end to Ideas and patterns on the internet, I rarely do letters or pictures as they don't stimulate me I need more so I search out boxes, bridges, mirrors and bowls just to mention a few. But you need to do the research and find these things.
  9. Hi Dick I have the exact Clock and never put a finish on mine for the very same reason, Nobody wants to brush it on it would take forever I think spraying is the only solution and even then I wonder if you'll get it everywhere. one other idea I had was to put oil in a turkey roaster and soak the clock then roll it over and over until all of it had a good soak the put it away to let it drip dry. It will be messy but I just see no other way. Fantastic Job on the clock by the way.
  10. Great work, very well done, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dick for the offer but the mail is just to unreliable here it took 2 months to get a Christmas card I'm still waiting after 4 years for a birthday present my brother send me Nope don't trust the mail I think the safest way would be courier or have someone mule it for me. I have a friend who's coming here in March so maybe she'll bring me some. But again Dick thanks for the offer very kind of you. .../Hans

Dick this is Mexico there is no tracing anything by mail I asked Mike if he could ship them via UPS and his response was I don't even know what those initials stand for I only ship first class mail. I contacted him about a week or so back and asked him if they were returned to him and he said no. So I'm out a gross of blades and my money so the only way I can get them here if someone was to mule them in for me I usually order before I go home in the summer and bring them back with me when I go back to Mexico but I didn't go home last year so I'm running out.

  21. It was Edward I caught it in time and put a bridge in to save it I've informed Steve Good and He said he was going to put a revised version on his website.
  22. This was extremely challenging for my as I use 99% of time a spiral so cutting with straights is not easy but as I have used up even my sharpest dull spirals and I'm still waiting for my order from Mike I have no choice.
  23. My first wife really didn't like tools around much and the second one wouldn't even let me buy a hammer. Now you see why I'm single.
