  1. Surely worth further investigation for that price.
  2. What is "the scary sharp method"?
  3. Sounds like a good tip Russell.
  4. It is pricey, I use a HF 1Hp DC (the green one) on my SS fairly quiet and very efficient. I like it.
  5. I would recommend looking for a good used 6" belt with 9" disc. I have a Craftsman I bought new about 25 years ago for abt. $300.00 or $350.00.
  6. Don't know why but I thought Hegners were red? That is what I get for thinking.
  7. In my workshop with all my other wood working tools.
  8. I use the Harbor Freight 1hp DC (green one, not the red one), it is a lot quieter than any shop vac and does a good job for me.
  9. Thanks CharleyL, I missed the wall warts on the last picture.
  10. CharleyL, what do those LED lights from Lowe's use for power? I looked on line but Lowe's does not mention the power source.
  11. What do they use for a power source?
  12. Thanks jerry, I have made several bottle openers similar to yours carving the text with a router, but love the wording on yours. Will definitely put this on my to do list.
  13. I'd still buy it.
  14. I have also done it a couple of times 50/50 and found the same results previously mentioned. I like the color it gives the wood.
  15. Thank you, thank you, that is the style I sa. Will down load and as soon as the weather cools off a little I will make a couple for Christmas presents.
  16. I have been looking for a pattern with dimensions, one of our DIL's wants me to make one for her but I don't feel like experimenting with dimensions.
  17. There is a free version you can use on line, I have never been asked for any information. You can make donations to support it if you desire. I use it for silhouettes, I use Inkscape for my resizing.
  18. Thanks, another must do project on my long list of projects. I'll have to be careful as I already have 2 short fingers on my right hand, non workshop related.
  19. 1st select the pattern in Inkscape, then select Path, trace bitmap, then lock the proportions and move the bit map from the original pattern, select the size you want. On one of the forum & I think it is this one Travis has about 7 videos of lessons on Inkscape, very well done and very helpful. That is where I learned what I know about Inkscape.
  20. If you wanted to resize the whole pattern you could do it with Inkscape. I do it everyday.
  21. That is rather personal, what is comfortable for one person may be miserable for the next.
  22. Thanks, I definitely did not know that was there. Will be very useful.
  23. "Necessity is the mother of invention", even if it is borrowing an idea for a sand blasting cabinet. I like it, must be totally dust free with that setup.
  24. Works great on my win 7 laptop.
