  1. Looks like it will be nice, what size is it?
  2. Better hurry back, has to be a mistake as I bought some a couple of months ago at our WalMart and paid considerably more. Maybe Wallyworlds falling prices actually happens once in a while, usually keeps going up.
  3. That ought to get er done.
  4. I like the Formica idea and I happen to have a couple of large pieces sitting in my warehouse that I just did not have the heart to throw out just knowing that someday I would have a use for it. It has only been there for 10+ years.
  5. I use Inkscape, never got around to Gimp yet.
  6. You don't think 1/8" would be too thin if hard wood, I was thinking about 1/8" Red Oak as I have a piece left over. May try one with it.
  7. Thanks, that is what I was thinking about using. Thought about 1/8" but that may be too thin.
  8. Anyone here ever make a letter opener out of wood? Wondering how thick was the piece of wood used.
  9. No wonder I was by myself self last night at 19:00 CST.
  10. I keep forgetting about it, when is it again.
  11. Congratulations, If I had know grandkids were so much fun I would have skipped kids and gone straight to grandkids. Spoil them rotten then send them home for parents to handle.
  12. Just call me dense but last week I tried to get on chat but could not find the link to the chat room. Also what time is chat again.
  13. Some people have it so rough! LOL
  14. What size is the belt on that Rigid sander.
  15. Talking about belt sanders, you guys that have one "do you leave the tension on the belt sander when not using or do you do like me and release tension and then have to set up again every time you want to use it?" Some times I think I may be wasting a lot of time, tensioning and releasing.
  16. 20,000 watts that is some heat lamp you use?
  17. Anyone have or use this oscilating spindle sander from Grizzly, it is on sale now for $119.95. Any opinions, it is not something I think I would use a lot so don't want to spend more than necessary but don't want something that is not worth it in case I end up using more than I think I would. TIA, Bob
  18. And I thought 150 + 350 = 500 not 400.
  19. I use the one Rockler sold with LED's & love it, don't know why they quit handling it.
  20. Last night while on line I stumbled across a adapter for the Dewalt 788 that you epoxy under the table for dust collection sold by the people that sell the Big Foot arm lift. Looks like, a great idea and got me to thinking about making something similiar for my EX-21 only I would have to make mine out of wood, I looked today and it seems I have about a 1/2" vertical clearance between the underside of the table and the lower arm at it's highest part of the stroke. Thinking about using some 1/8" Masonite and 1/4" lumber with a hole in the center for the blade to pass through and a 1" elbow on the bottom connected to my DC. If it works for the DW788 it should work on my EX-21. Does anyone know of something similar for the EX? If not I may try to make one as I like the idea. Right now I am pretty happy with my McGivered hookup but always looking for something better. Bob
  21. I pass the ends between a folded piece of sand paper and that eleminates holding problems.
  22. All part of a master plan.
  23. Congratulations on the new work shop. I too am fortunate to have a dedicated space 20' x 20' with a window A/C, no heat but in the winter it does not get very cold so I can use a small electric heater if I really want to work. I also have other tools in there besides the SS, like a TS, RAS, DP, Jointer, belt sander, 2 band saws and a work bench. Gets a little crowded in there sometimes.
  24. I too am a sitter, my EX-21 is on the matching stand and I sit on a stool from Grizzly that looks like a motorcycle seat and use a dead man foot switch and a LED lighted magnifier from Rockler and have a circukar flouresent magnifier that I usuallu use just for the light.
