I used a #3 Pegas blade for this piece but if I find something that looks like may break as I try to cut it, I sometimes will cut across the protruding tips and come back later and use a 0/3 spiral blade to make the delicate cuts. Although a lot of scrollers do not like the spiral, you can easily make the cuts that the flat blade may break out, when used. Believe it or not, I find the spiral is really gentle in these places. So when something looks like a time to hold my breath and hope it will not break, I just reach for the spiral blade to do it's magic
