When someone looses a loved one, being it a parent, child. spouse, other family member or a good friend, it hurts a lot. I think making something special for that person is so much more then flowers or cards and they cherish them and are always grateful to you for your taking the time to do that for them. I have often heard from people of whom I have made some time of memorial plaque, how much they continue to cherish them. Good for you, on this project Dick heppnerguy

I did start with intarsia but started getting a little bored with all the animal patterns. I also could not afford all the exotic wood and so my pieces were not really outstanding but I thought they were still way better than I thought I could ever make. . I have some in our house and I am happy with them for the most part. I still have some patterns that I have not cut and I would like to go back and try some more soon Dick heppnerguy -
I am so happy that you chose to be a part of The Village family. Participating on line is what makes you family. Often one joins up here and only posts a couple of times and then you do not see them again. Not sure if they loose interest in scrolling or they just don't bother to get to know anyone. Maybe just looking for new patterns, not sure which. But you have shown a real interest in getting to know others and you probably are feeling that the people who do enter things here often are fast becoming your friends. I know that I feel like I have known many of the people on here for a long time and the truth is, I have only met 5 of the people in person and I cherish their friendship a lot. Keep up the good scrolling and making the patterns. Dick heppnerguy
