I enjoy both of these projects. I know you have done some great work with spirals and they can be a little tricky. On patterns like this car one, a straight tooth blade does not give you the width you need to have for the pattern to stand out when finished. Hence, the spiral comes in handy to accomplish this. I am sure you probably are aware of what I am going to say next so use it as a reminder. Cutting the wider lines first with a flat blade followed by the spiral will give you a nice straight line without the waviness that a spiral blade might leave, on it's own.
