  1. I have done a lot of pictures and have used flat black poster board on most. I spray the back of the picture like Rusty, but I have never thought of the staples. No matter I have never had one fail... I am trying some felt on the military emblems, like my avatar. Not sure what glue work but I used Weldbond and TItebond Thick and Tacky. Well see how it works.
  2. Very nice! You will enjoy having the drawers below. I like the design, looks much more professional than my recycled kitchen cabinet...
  3. Very well done!
  4. Hello!! are we married to the same woman.....
  5. WOW! That is pretty darn awesome.. Jeaheon, hope you are safe,, sounds like South Korea is being hit pretty hard with this virus stuff.
  6. How do I handle mistakes?,,, : every day, that's how. No really .... Jameson
  7. We think alike, I say that every time I think of it......
  8. Wish I had the time, money and know how to make a car like that.... Only thing I get to work on mechanical is my riding lawn mower.... Nice scrolling on the Hot Rod. Here is my story,,, I subscribed to Hot Rod mag for years when I was young up until I got married. Them in my early 30's I decided to subscribe again, just for the fun. First issue there was an entry forum to enter to win a 32 Ford Roadster. So I entered. Well in July that year, several month after I entered the contest,,, I get home from work, in a not so good mood, and sitting trying to read the paper, and the phone rings.. I say hello, and guy says "Mr. Douglass, this is so and so, editor of Hot Rod Mag." I rudely interrupted him said I'm not interested,,,, he says, "but, Mr Douglass"... and I hung up.... I though it was just another prank call, or someone was trying to get me to renew my subscription.... Then a couple minutes later it dawned on me this was the first of July when they were awarding the Hot Rod.... What do you think? I think I may have shot myself in the foot, and some other guy got to pick up my beautiful 32 Ford hot rod and drive it home.... I can think of no other reason the Editor of the Mag would have called me. I will never know for sure,,, but good story. My wife still remind me of it once in a while, when she is tired of reminding me of my many other screw ups... "And that's the truth"
  9. Francisco, that looks great. Awesome job all the way around...
  10. I have two Grippers, use them a lot. Only thing I don't like about them, is the stabilizing foot is always on the wrong side every time I want to use one or both..... always... and I have to move it to the other side.... I don't understand how that happens!
  11. Really nice scrolling, Ron.
  12. Dave, welcome to the Village. Beautiful work you have done, looks like we can learn a lot from you. I love the clocks... Got on in the hopper to start soon. Glad to have you with us.
  13. Used #1 Pegas Double Skip blades, it is 1/4" BB. I really like the Pegas Double Skip blades, but you can not be in a hurry with them. Very non-aggressive.
  14. No, have to confess, I cheated on that. I copied it to decal paper and used that. Makes it very easy. Print it with a inkjet printer. Spray the decal with a clear lacquer before you put it in water. Than apply it. I have a wood burning setup, but was afraid to even try that. Going to make a Navy Aviator one for my son and an Army one for my brother. I like your idea for the vets, we have a home for them here, I think I will look into doing what your are doing.
  15. This one I made for me. I am very proud of it and very proud of what it stands for...
  16. Yep, I know..... hope you didn't get hit.
  17. Okay, I picked silver and green of the colors you posted, only because I associate them more with the Holiday Season. I would add red also....
  18. He will love it. Great job. Very thoughtful of you.
  19. Frank, you can comment on the work that went into making it even though you may not agree with or care about the message. There may be things posted here that I don't agree with the message or content, but if I like the work and craftsmanship I will comment on that, or just move on. No requirement to comment on everything... I have never been on any forum that I totally agreed with everything posted,,, but that is life. I hope you don't take offense to what I am trying to say here,,, not my intent. If someone is trying to preach or whatever about religion, than I understand your point, this is not the forum for that and I would move on also.... I am not against religions, fact I am a believer, but this is not the place to discuss beliefs,,,, well beliefs not related to woodwork/scrolling anyway.
  20. Welcome to the forum.... Glad to have you join us.
  21. Barry, glad you are back and recovered. Things like that can really catch you off guard. I had a stroke in 2018 and wow, that was the last thing I thought would happen. But, survived and only retained minor damage,,, will I say minor, my wife says major head damage...., but she said that before I had a stroke....
  22. Waste of time for me I would forget where I put the checklist, heck, I would forget to even look for it!!! The clock I was given, like the one in you picture only runs a minute or two and stops...Like you say, just a prop....
  23. Way to go Mike. Beautiful work on all of them. Ha, a bouquet of kitties ,,,, cute.
  24. You are making up for lost time in the shop. That is a very beautiful piece. One to be very proud of...
