  1. They look great and well done video!
  2. @rjR, you are correct, however, his picture he can title it whatever he wants.... and you are also correct it is beautiful work..
  3. I have to agree with NC Scroller. Just my opinion, I have nothing to back it, but, to stretch the blade, I think you would break the tension lever first. The one exception to that may be a spiral blade. The it is not really stretching the blade, it may tighten the twist of the blade a little. Again not proof just my opinion and sometimes my opinion gets twisted.
  4. Got to say I think that is one of your finest. Beautifully done. I love the picture.
  5. Another fine one. Great job.
  6. Very well cut. Awesome job.
  7. Welcome to the village.
  8. Welcome!! Look forward to see your work.
  9. Very well done all of them! Some very nice wood also. Great pieces.
  10. Hummm, I don't see Abbey and Ali in that batch,,,,,,,!!
  11. And you were. Especially difficult with the aggressive teeth that blade has.
  12. Very nice job and the toothpicks, great addition.....
  13. that really looks nice. I tried to get my daughter interested in the paper quilling a few years ago, but she says she is too busy.... I like it.
  14. They are all really well done.
  15. When I top feed, I release the blade from both clamps, thread the blade through the piece and table hole and then reclamp the blade. Sounds slow and awkward, but I can do it pretty fast. I don't even raise the top arm to do it. I cannot feed a #2/0 blade down through the piece of wood, through a hole drilled with a #65-#70 bit, with it clamped in the top arm without destroying the blade. I can get it done with the method I describe faster than it take my Fein Vac to automatically shut off once I stop scrolling to change to another hole,,, most times anyway. The only problem I have with it is if I go back to bottom seeding after doing my method of top feeding for a while, I forget I am bottom feeding, reach down and release the bottom clamp and there goes my blade to the floor.... Then I slap my forehead, reach for my magnet on a stick tool and retrieve my blade and get setup to scroll again.
  16. Nothing wrong with that box! Looks real good to me. Here is my total knowledge about finishing:
  17. Beautiful cutting, Ron. I love that picture..
  18. That is is a great job!
  19. Very well done!
  20. Very well cut. Love the wood you chose also. I like the idea mentioned on the forum the other day of using the reclaimed pattern as a pattern to spray paint on the door or wall. Would look neat in someone workshop...
  21. Yes well done and thank you. I often go to peoples albums and look at their projects. I get ideas and inspiration from looking at them. I wish everyone would create an album of their works.
  22. This is one of my cuts I start as a filler to work on while taking a break from other projects. Only problem is I just kept cutting once I started... I saw the pattern and thought of a young girl, the daughter of a friend of my daughter, that is a big horse fan. I mean she can tell you all about them... Her folks recently got her into a horse jumping class.. she is doing great. Was in her first competition recently. I hope to give this to her, I think she would like it but I want to get her parents okay first. I like it, if they say no, it will fit on my wall!! Actually I stack cut two, I will have one anyway. I am a horse fan also... This is a Charles Dearing pattern. I had to decided between three of his patterns. I pondered a while then selected this one. When I put it in my horse folder, I noticed I already had the other 2!! Does someone have just two many patterns????
  23. Pegas blades are good, no doubt, if I were you, I would get a few different to try. I, like you was FD only for a long time, but I tried the Pegas blades and there are a few that I really like and use often. I think in general, most like the Modified Geometry blades. I have tried a few of them and I find them too aggressive for what I like to do. I do like Pegas Reverse Skip #3 and the Double Skip #1. The other one I like is the #2/0 spiral. The rest of my blades are FD. I do think Pegas are worth trying and you may like some of or all of them.
  24. Great job! I have a book titled "Scroll Saw Art" , by Patrick Spielman and Kerry Shirts. Some of the patterns in it say to enlarge the patter by over 200%! I haven't figured out how to do that.
  25. Congrats. If I ever see a good buy like that on a G4 I will probably pick it up. I have see a few but they are usually asking around $600 or so or too far to travel for. Speed control, I think you will like, for sure. I change speed quite often depending on what I am scrolling.
