  1. I agree with all, that is a great cutting.
  2. Great job Kevin. I bet they are all smiling like that after receiving that.
  3. Very well done. Congratulations on the ribbon. You need to visit us more often...
  4. Another very nice one. The bow ties really move them up a notch.
  5. Very well done!! She should be very pleased with that.
  6. You did on November 27, but they look just as good the second time....
  7. Awesome, Amazing, unbelievable, superb, incredible..... They all fit..... I love seeing your artistry!
  8. Just a point, Hergner (Advanced Machinery) also sell a cooler tank and setup for the Hegner (Around $130, which seens pretty expensive to me for a plastic tank and some tubing, but it does say Hegner on the side of the tank I think. That has to up the price somewhat). As for the Jewelry blades or tiny medal blades, I do not know. I have not add a problem with the small blades I use, but when you get down to the tiny ones,, I can't say.
  9. That is a real piece of art!... Welcome to the Village. I hope you will stick with us and keep showing your work. I think if you could find a good used Hegner or a new one if it is in your budget would work fine. The Seyco, King, Excalibur type saws will do it. We have a Coin Cutter here, he may have better insight one the better saws for metal cutting. @hotshot, you around... got some input.
  10. I'm still working on several gifts of Christmas stuff. Seems like I have too much started and not enough getting done... I did finish this one which is a gift.
  11. I don't know anything about them. Both look very "plastic" to me and not the stronger kind, but I have only looked at the pictures. I could only find one review on the Microlux one. It was pretty good. The Proxxon has several reviews on Amazon. Some good some not good at all. If they work and last, looks like a nice little tool to have for sure.
  12. Those are awesome!!
  13. To me the more teeth per inch and the depth of the teeth or the teeth gullet affect it aggressiveness. The Pegas blades I have used and do use have less teeth per inch and bigger teeth so they cut more aggressively. Just like on handsaw and even table saws. I could be wrong, there are one or two things I still don't know..... well unless I have had a few glasses of wine.... then I get smarter and smarter....
  14. Wise choice in my opinion, but be a little patient. It takes a little time to get comfortable with the tensioning and because the clamps float, tension is very important. Once you get the feel of it, you can feel it is right just by, well the feel... I love mine.
  15. never mind, Melanie beat me posting. I knew because I made one after seeing hers.
  16. Thanks for the review and congratulations on the new saw. Sounds like you had about the same feeling I had when I went from a DeWalt to an new Excalibur several years ago. Now if they made a Pegas, with the same size table as the Seyco saw... They could call it the Pegco saw..... wouldn't that be great...
  17. Great work.
  18. Great cutting!.. You grandson will be in the next galaxy over that!
  19. Those are really nice. Great pieces.
  20. My Pegas clamps did not come with an "owners manual". The original clamps on my Excalibur I had and the Seyco I now have say to put a small amount of light grease where the lever moves on the top of the clamp. That is a different set up than the Pegas clamp, as Kevin points out.
  21. Pretty much the same article right here on this site in the "Resources - How-to & Articles" section.
  22. Very nicely done.
  23. @William O Young That is good to know,,, I was just about to ask you how much you wanted for it,,,,, now I do not think I am interested... Just kidding. I really don't need another saw. Two is enough for me..
  24. Great job!
  25. There is still the Hegner...... Mind just scroll away, year after year.... Now I know I just put a jinks on it. I guess my question is, what would cause the fuse to blow. That would worry me. I have had DeWalt, Excalibur and Seyco in that configuration of saws.... I have never had a fuse blow.. Glad you got it going.
