  1. Looked at the title of the post and thought Alex was going to give a review of the Wooden Teddy Bear internet store. That very cute for sure.
  2. Well I give them some slack on the saws they list, because this if for the beginner audience, but I think because this is for beginners they should mention the fact there are more expensive saws just for info. Maybe they did, I pretty much skimmed the article. One thing I didn't like about their pros and cons, was if one saw has a feature like tilting table that they mention, then they need to mention that on every saw they are listing that has that same option. New people in their audience may think other saws don't have that feature. I also think they should list the saws after the "Top Pick" in order of price and mention they did. Some will think the rest are listed in their order of preference. Interesting site and worth looking through it.
  3. How long does a finish like this last? What is the shelf life of the mixture. Does it cause item for collect dust more than a dried spray finish? How do you get it into tight areas where you have cut things out?
  4. When I want to do something like make this stuff, I head to Goodwill to get pots and pans... Cheap stuff. I know better than to use the wife's pans.... or her stove. I do have a hot plate, not sure how well I can regulate the heat, i will have to try it.
  5. Thanks for the video, Kevin. I'm going to give that a try one of these days. You didn't give you thought on the pellet wax after using it for the first time. Least I got the impression this was your first time using it. Does your mixture smell good? I love the smell of honey... I love honey, eat some almost daily.
  6. Slow down, Steve!! I am still only 1/2 way through the viking! That Green Man looks great. You are really setting the bar high for these patterns.
  7. Have not see this personally, but, for one, Cherokee Wood Products has it in 1/2" and 3/4" 4'x8' or 5'x5' sheets https://www.cherokeewood.com/store/baltic-birch-plywood-sheets/
  8. I use to believe the same as you about the size, but I have seen Baltic Birch plywood in 4' x 8' sheets also.
  9. I have never bought Baltic Birch plywood from my local HD or Lowes because they don't sell it, but I have bought, it that does chip more, fact my last sheet of BB plywood does that. It chips bad. I buy it from a "plywood" company where I would expect to get the best grade all the time, but it is hit an miss. I went through their whole stack last time I was in there and walked away with out any. For one thing there were foot prints on every sheet! I could not believe it. Went to my second choice of places to buy it and theirs looked real good, but it is chipping on the back worse than any I have had so far.
  10. Holy cow, that is a great job all the way around. Congrats, you two.
  11. See, those Aussies and there ways. This is a great tradition I had not heard of before. I agree in America they go drink. My granddaughter sent us a picture of her having "her first drink" when she turned 21. I said ya, right, aren't you the granddaughter that bragged to me once that she had 5 different fake IDs!... She is always trying to shock us, by we know she is a great girl.

  13. Have a great time. I've been to Memphis and Nashville. Really enjoyed them both. Like to see more. Hope you have a fun safe trip.
  14. Was the first fix on the "Take Time to Smile" board, I'm still not sure what the problem was, look like there were two errors that had to be corrected on it (?). I couldn't even figure it out by going to his blog. Today's fix was on the hunting scene pattern, he had a lever action rifle instead of a shotgun on the pattern. I don't know what the error was on the Smile board.
  15. Great job. Straight lines with a scroll saw that great patience.
  16. Certainly a good description of me! Nice job.
  17. The tissue box master you are! They are really nice ones. Great work.
  18. Increasing the size of the "nozzle" seem to be enough. My hose coupler also has a ring on it you can turn, there is a hole under there and in the ring. You can adjust vacuum with that.
  19. Very nice. I should do one for my son. Is there something holding them shut? Or is the friction of the little dowel enough?
  20. I have a turbo II, doesn't look like what I remember the picture of yours. I looked at ereplacement and the part there does not look like the end of my vac hose.
  21. Is this a Fein part? Do you have a link to were you purchased it? May work for me. Thanks
  22. Very well done!
  23. Yep, I got that pattern also. I have all her tree/foliage patterns. But I am not going to buy any more patterns..... New Years resolution... I think I have only purchased 10 since I made it. I am doing the Viking in quarter sawn oak. It is the hardest wood I have ever used in scrolling. I am struggling. Wish I had picked some other wood, but I am over half done now.
  24. Bremerton!! Sure they still use it. My son was stationed there for a while. Absolutely beautiful area. He lived in Poulsbo. Was on the USS Carl Vinson. Took a break from F-18 to learn more about ship life. Went out for a prep cruse to prepare for a normal 6 month cruse and didn't get back until 9 months later! They were called to the middle east while on the prep exercise. When he returned, his son and I I loved it over there, would love to live around that area.
  25. Darn you are good, Dick!! That is great.
