I think their tables are steel, and would rust easily/quickly without the coating of some sort. DeWalt. Hawk, etc. are aluminum in some forum. I maybe wrong...
I have all kinds of little jars and boxes with little things in them. But never any thing I need at any one time. I always end up at a store to pick up what I really need that i really thought I had some of but I guess I really didn't have any or I just really couldn't find it. It really get frustrating.
I really think that drawer storage is a great idea. Will thought out. Well you still put the blades in tube while they are in the drawers? Only reason I ask is I find it easier to shake a blade out of a tube then to try to pick one up individually out of a tray. Old stiff hands...

correct, one more con for mdf. i have drilled a pilot hole then filled it with ca glue to strengthen the screw hole. that helps. i have also drilled a larger hole, glued in a dowel the screwed the screw into the dowel....
That will also allow you to clamp on stop blocks to make sure your frame pieces are the same length,,, you can see, i didn't really think things through when i built mine. maybe some day i will build another. but mine work good as is.
I'd suggest, and maybe what you plan, but make your strips out of something like 1" x 2" stock. that way you can use clamps tp clamp the picture frame stock to.

Ahh, I love elephants. That is a great job! Have you started the @Charles Hand elephant pattern yet? I have started the tiger one. It is a great pattern, fun to cut!
