    Hummm, does look fragile. Wonder how it would hold up to me throwing it across the room because I lost,,,,, yet again!! I'm so good at Chess, that my grandson asked me to teach him. I never beat him, even on the first training game.....

    Yes, I am waiting on a string of 10 lights. I can get a green string of them but I prefer to use white. All sold out. The other one I made has 20 lights and yes the batteries do not last too long.

    Interesting to read. Thanks for taking the time to do it. If nothing else, the Pegas wins the award for the prettiest scroll saw, in my book. Another way you may find to adjust the aggressiveness of the cut is try a little more aggressive blades on the Pegas. I know the same blade cuts differently on my Hegner than it does on the Seyco. The Hegner is less aggressive than the Seyco. I think if a person could fit the Seyco's big table (without the rectangular hole in it) on the Pegas saw, it would be about the only thing that could improve the Pegas. I never had a problem with the Excalibur table size, but the bigger one on the Seyco, is just nice to have.

    Some very fine cutting. You need to spray glue the scraps and make a wall hanging! That basket is gorgeous!

    Finish gluing the together today. The pattern is from the Holiday 2006 SSW&C magazine, issue 25. I haven't been able to order the lights for it yet. All the 10 count battery powered white wire LED lights are out of stock at the moment. I am on a list to be notified when they come in. This is my second Lichterbogen and I really enjoy making them for some reason. Hope to make a few more before Christmas.

    My view is, and just a view, but things have to be packaged for tough handling. A lot of the handling is by machines, not people and it is pretty chaotic from what I hear, I have not seen inside a big distribution center with all the machines, but have had it described to me. Boxes tumbled, pushed and shoved by machines.... Not just humans getting it from one place to another... so it has to be packaged to take it.

    Very very nice. Man, when you stop and think about it, do all realize how much Steve Good has done for the scrolling community? It is amazing to me that one could give so much.

    UPS use to be a great company, but I do not think they can even spell customer service anymore. I had a go around with them a few weeks ago and really all I wanted was to call the local terminal and talk to someone there. No, I mean no one would give me the phone number. Kept telling me I could drive there and talk to someone, never mind it was a 50 mile trip for me.. The only CS person I could talk to was back east. They were no help. just kept repeating to me what the tracking said... duh, I knew that, I can read... Honestly I get better service locally with Fedex.

    EXCITED! I am anxious to read your opinion after some use. You are a pretty dedicated DeWalt fan, so your opinion will be interesting. Nothing in my mind against DeWalt saws, I owned one, but I thought the Excalibur was a definite step up. I look forward to reading your view. That is a beautiful looking saw.... unless you like yellow better.

    Darn things have a way of getting in the way! I also wish you a speedy recovery. Do not be down about it, you have done more than most and you will do more. I agree, the Camp will understand.

    Could you take it to a store that does coping services. They have bigger copiers and could probably get better copy and on one page, if it is bigger than an normal home copier. I find them very inexpensive.

    I would agree with NC Scroller. If you want 1/4" then I would use BB. Everything else I have tried, warps. UNLESS, you use something else but cut it in strips and glue it together alternating the grain direction. Then, I would is Maple, Cherry, Oak or any other I liked.

    Dave you shouldn't have to worry about the tension. It the upper arm is parallel to the table, them the only tension is the lever on the top clamp,,, I know on my Hegner, I adjust the tension often with the back knob,,, not so with the Pegas, type saw... Mine is a Seyco, I know I am going to wish it was a Pegas.........
