  5. Nice cutting,,, but, I have never heard of him or the movie.. Guess I lived a very sheltered life.
  6. That is some nice cutting. Keep stepping up the challenge... You are well on your way..
  7. They are all great and look like they would have been fun to make...
  8. I have a nail gun I use it mostly with making picture frames... or jigs that I make.. I have not tried it on something as fragile as the bowl you picture.
  9. Very glad to have you join us.. I looked at pictures of Derbyshire.. Beautiful looking place... Nice work you show.
  10. need to make two of these... I live out in the country, but the neighbors are close enough we can talk at the fences or yell at each other. I am often on my deck with binoculars, not to watch my neighbors but to look for Birds, deer and foxes that are sometimes in our lower fields. So, I need to make a pair of these to put on the fences between us..just to make them nervous..
  11. You really have a neat thing going with these pictures of move characters, I do not much follow movies but I really enjoy seeing your pictures. Nice job,, I know that if from "Lord of the Rings". and I have seen seen many pictures of him/it and he is a cool character..Kinda like the little green man that talked funny in Starwars...I like him also..
  12. I agree maybe the backside is usable as stated by Dan. Is that Baltic Birch? I also do what Foxfold does. Never had a problem that way... some times the pattern comes off complete and you can put them on you workroom wall. But if you and your wife like it that way,, then that is how you planned it and I say nicely done! I have some that I tell people I planned it that way and so far no one has questioned me on it.
  13. I have the Harbor Freight light, and I have a much more expensive one. The thing about the higher priced one is the lens is glass versa plastic on the HF one.. It s is a little more clearer. However I use both... I have mounts in several places were I can use them... One at my lathe, one at my workbench... and I always had one on my second saw when I had a second saw... The HF light is florescent and florescent lights bother some people.. The more expensive one I have has LED lights, sometimes it is almost too bright for me.. Glad your daughter's results were good.
  14. Very well done, Dick. You gotta love the racoon pictures... They are always cute.
  15. Beautiful clock, Bernd. You say you have your patterns printed on card stock, Why do you prefer that over regular paper?
  16. Well done. very pretty design.
  17. This has been on my saw for months,, I would cut on it for a few minutes once in a while.. But I actually finished the cut this evening... This is Jim Blume's Kestrel , and I thank you @Jim Blume for the great patten... I love cutting pictures of bird...
