I looked at those and thought about it seriously... They get great ratings... But for now I am using the blower on my saw and a box fan... thanks for your input.

The inner timer put in by the manufacturer of item with a warrantee, that tell the item when it can fail,, usually set and warrantee period, + one day... mine was a mistake went 3 months longer than it was suppose to.. I guess I should be thankful for the extra time.

Well there you go! TO THE LUMBER SECTION!! My wife owes me mucho time in the wood section... Me and the dogs have spent many hours sitting in the car waiting for her to come out of the Quilt store...

Dust deputy! It was obvious the internal timer was miss set by the manufacturer, It had a 3 year warrantee and the motor burned at 3 years, 3 moinths..

If I may interject related question.. When you use your dust collection do you have it running full time when scrolling or do you have it turn on and off with your scroll saw? The reason I ask,, I had a nice Fein vac attached to my scroll saw dust collection... The vac only last three years, three months and the motor burned up. I think the short life was because I had it going on and off with my saw. Just curious. Mine was a set up similar to "Rolf's".

I have a great planner,,, wish I also have a drum sander... No room, no money.. I also had a jointer, but finally sold it, it scared me to much...Not sure why but I got real nervous when I used it.

You know me, I sometimes start a big project and lose interest before finishing.. It had 8 layers. I cut them all out and decided after the first four layer the last four really did not do much for the overall project... It is on my "someday I might finish" shelf along with my wooden gear clock.. and some others. Yours looks great.

In all the years I've been scrolling, even in the days where there were only hand saws....the largest blade I have ever used is a #5. But for compound cutting do usually use a skip tooth blade. They can be agressive and clean out the sawdust as you go...

I have both,,I prefer the Mac Mops,,, just personal choice Others prefer the sanding mops.

I prefer the 2" x 7". I mostly use the 180 grit... It produces aroung a 220 grit finish. https://www.woodworkingshop.com/search/?search_query=sand mop. OOOPss! Stop that is Mac Mops. Sanding mops at the same place..

Well I did once but it wasn't much scrolling.. I built a morris chair. The wide panels in the sides the chair and foot stool were blank.. I added the sail boat on the chair and the light house on footstool... That was back when I had my first scroll saw.. A Craftsman, that I had to get down on my knees to mount the blade in the bottom clamp, so it was back when I did very little scrolling..
