  1. If you get little glue under the loose piece(s) would be great. What did you glue it down with?
  2. I have used the FD UR #1 next time I order I'll have to add some of these and see what they are like.
  3. Experience is the best teacher. Thanks for sharing Dave. I hand sand but have been on the fence about a sanding mop. Maybe time to make one?
  4. Not sure what to say other then great job. Really looking good.
  5. Nice job Dick. Keep pushing and growing. You're off to one heck of a start
  6. Looking good. Can't wait for the final photo's
  7. I have tried many different blades. My go to choice is Flying Dutchmen UR. I will say Mike was a great person to deal with, They messed up one order and corrected it perfectly. When I seen the shipping I felt bad and wanted to pay it. But he wouldn't hear it. He will be missed for a very long time with me. True definition of customer service ! Life long Flying Dutchman blade user.
  8. Nice work. Definitely taking shape and looking really good.
  9. We have a regular copy - printing place and never had problems with them. I know they changed over to a FedEx and haven't been there since. Sorry to hear your having this issue. As was stated customer service has gone down the drain anymore.
  10. Great job. Looks really good.
  11. Don Did a quick google search. Steve Good has a few puzzle patterns on his site. Search for puzzle and it will show you about 3 pages of patterns. Also just google free scroll saw puzzle patterns and look at the photos. There are several simple patterns there. If memory serves me right, Karl Taylor also has some on his site. Hope this helps.
  12. Happy to hear you got the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Can't think of anyone more deserving.
  13. Dave Like the way things work for you. The only difference is I spread the glue between the joints, Great Job
  14. Keep us posted Dick.
  15. Dick Did a quick search and found this page. Has a Sheltie pattern. I would post the photo but don't want to break the rules Here is the link to the page, see if this will help you. http://www.wctc.net/~tasetal/page8.html
  16. Interesting information. Thanks for the update.
  17. I have not had a problem with the top piece. When I cut this BB I normally stack cut them. As has been stated the bottom piece takes the abuse. You can help eliminate that by using a zero clearance at the blade. Playing cards work good for this. Cut into them, tape them down and go to cutting
  18. I'll stay with Scrappile on this one. Some of the patterns I cut have detail and very fragile ares. I remove them first . Mainly I split the line but that depends on the pattern. As for cutting left or right, I go both once again depending on the pattern and whats if any had to be removed first.
  19. Looks like a fun and interesting project. Plus you may get to learn a few new tricks along your journey
  20. Sorry to hear you had an issue. I have a back up saw for these occasions. The addiction is real and no cure in sight :)
  21. Don Happy to hear it worked. Happy scrolling
  22. I have trouble with speed at times. But it is across the board. I'm thinking internet connection for me. Maybe try clearing your cache and see if that helps. Has worked for me in the past.
  23. I don't use mdf for scrolling period. The dust is very harmful so as mentioned protection is a must. The dust will float in the air so exhausting through a filter or window is also pretty critical. If you choose to use this, please be very careful, and if you can cut it outside that also would be a plus.
  24. Proves how much customer service counts for business.
  25. I don't normally paint my work but wife does. She uses craft paint and the results are good. Mostly things for cancer support and other medical issues. There is the occasional seasonal items too.
