    I messed around today with my little EX16. I thought I'd just do a bit of greasing on the upper arm bearings. I took them all apart and I'm glad I did. The grease that was there was very dry and sticky. I cleaned it all out the best I could and applied a generous helping of synthetic grease to all 5 bearings/sleeves and reassembled. I tightened them all up to what I thought was tight but not too tight. I plugged it in and started it on a very low setting. All of a sudden I've got a knocking noise that I never had before. So, I started messing around. Finally I went to each bearing and loosened it and then re-tightened but not quite as tight. It seems that did the trick. No more noise. Something to think about when putting these saws back together. Now I wish I still had my inch pound torque wrench.

    I understand what you are saying. I might think about coming out of the cyclone a ways and then necking it down to a Y fitting and go from there. Two schools of thought and without seeing your setup, tough to visualize.

    Have you checked out the offerings from LocLine? I think there is a 3/4" "Y" advertised if I recall.

    Hooking it up would be no problem as long as you have a Big compressor. And make sure you run the air through a good dryer/filter to keep the media dry.

    Thanks Dan. I might consider a semi gloss poly. Not sure I want a gloss like the Zinsser shellac. I'll have to ponder on it.

    Ok, here it is. Sanded and finished with one coat of Watco natural oil. I need to take a poll of who thinks it is ok this way or does it need some shine a la spray shellac.

    My question is a simple one. Well maybe not. What do folks do with all the odd shaped scraps that they end up with. I make a lot of baskets and bowls etc. and I seem to end up with a ton of scraps that have had round shapes cut out of them leaving just the corners and whatever might have survived the cutting around the outside. I now have a plastic tub of them and I just can't bring myself to toss them all out. At what point does a cutoff become a useless scrap?

    I live in a mobile home also. Unless you are living in a VERY old mobile home, the walls have 2x4 studs in them. Plenty of support for any size tv. As long as you mount to the studs, you will be fine. I do handyman work in my park and I have hung a few tv's on the wall. And I install boxes behind and below the sets to hide the wires running down from the tv to all the gear. There are mostly never any firebreaks to contend with so it's really easy. Go for it!

    I just realized that saw has the Dewalt tension lever. It's pretty old. But still good if the price is right. $65 for the Pegas clamps made for Dewalt.

    Do like I do. Tell your wife you're gonna sell one. How much are they asking? Figure you'll want to buy the new clamps so that's another hundred.

    #1 by far, don't get frustrated when things don't go your way. #2 I have to second what Kris Martinson said. I have learned so much from this site and I can't believe how many great friends I've met and made here on SSV. I did watch some Youtube videos just to witness technique but the overall wealth of information that is here is just fantastic. I have asked a ton of goofy questions but at the time, I felt that they were important. At least to me. I have gone clear back and re-read everything that I posted or asked and I wish there was a way to delete a bunch of them. I'm actually embarrassed when I read them now. #3 Also , don't get in a buying frenzy on blades. Buy a couple of sizes of one brand and get used to them. After you gain some experience, you'll then have the knowledge of what to look for in a blade. There are so many to choose from that it gets expensive just to have a bunch of blades in a holder that may never get used.
