    Yes for sure. I check and double check and then sometimes I re-check. I'm not even sure about the Wixey angle gauge. I zero it and then check it again. When cutting angle cuts, it makes a huge difference between 1 degree and 1.2 degrees. Ask me how I know that.

    I was just scanning through different hose options for dust collection. This is very similar to the hose that came with my Fein vacuum and it is very handy to have. I think I will get this for my Ridgid shop vac that I use outside on my driveway with my Dewalt portable table saw. Notice that it has a variable adjustment for how much vacuum it will allow.     I'm not an expert by any means but the one thing that comes to mind is make sure whatever you use is non-toxic if used on kids toys etc. Also, welcome to The Village. No apology necessary for your English. Heck, a lot of us who were born in the U.S. are still having trouble with the language. Keep the questions coming and post pictures of your work. We LOVE new scrollers.

    Paul, I've got the Wen and it does work. I had a problem with it turning itself on when I wasn't in the shop. I would have to leave it unplugged. I contacted Wen folks and they sent me a new receiver and remote. I installed it and so far no more problems. I bought mine through Home Depot because of their return policy.

    Looks great. Get a couple of the round magnets and stick them to the upper arm. Attach your hose to them with clamps of some sort.

    I've done it on both of my EX's to decrease the aggressiveness of the blade. If you don't understand what that means, let us know.

    Are you absolutely sure that your blade is square to the table. Sounds like it's off to me. Unless you are really pushing your work through. I've cut 1 1/2" mahogany without that problem but I'm sure the hardness of the maple has something to do with it also.

    I built a wooden stand/table for my EX21. I incorporated 2 Harbor Freight 6" wheels with 1/2" axles in the rear two legs. I added 2 pvc handles along side of the table that slide in/out of themselves so that I can lift the back end (nearest to me) and move the saw in and out of my shop. I have a 6" drop off from the shop down to the driveway. I made a ramp that helps get in and out of the shop.

    I'm running ver. 0.92. I looked for a place to check for updates but couldn't find one. Edit: I just downloaded 0.92.4. I guess that's the newest one.

    Another suggestion that if I recall came from Scrappile (Paul) mentioned that he bought a package of the old style spring clothes pins and sort of reshaped the jaws so they would fit where he needed them to fit. The do come in handy. I on the other hand, bought a jug of tiny spring clamps at Harbor Freight. Before I saw his hint. Darn!

    If you cut a half dozen squares of canvas and sandwich them between 2 pieces of scrap wood I don't see why that wouldn't work to make your patterns.

    I'm not trying to bore you good folks with pics of my project but my wife found a bowl that just fits in my piece. I think it really looks good this way. She wants to find a bowl that is of a color like red/ruby or blue/cobalt. What do you think? I can't tell because I'm not good with colors. Not color blind, just not good.

    Try running the system without the bag in the vac just for giggles. It might be plugged up from very fine dust that can't be seen. Or maybe the bag is just bad. Give it a try and see what happens.

    Did you examine the filter bag inside of your vac Paul? Just wondering if it could be so plugged up that it's causing excess vacuum to be sucking the sides of the bucket in. By putting that valve in the circuit, you are providing some relief to the whole system.

    No, not that. In 2 of your pics, there is something round on the lower right corner of the table/jig. I figured it must be a clamp to hold the sanding jig to the sanding table. Just wondering what it was.

    What type of clamp is that that you are using to hold it to the sander table? It has a round rod type of clamp rod? I've not seen one like that.
