I just found an informative site regarding super glues. After reading it, I have come to the conclusion that the accelerator may be nothing more than water in an aerosol can. The super glue works with the humidity/moisture in the air. I'll bet they are just selling water to spray on the glue joint. Anyway, I'm a lot smarter about super glue now than I was an hour ago.

Bill, I bought that brand one time and for the life of me, I could not keep the tip open. I know I tightened the cap too. Do you do anything special to keep the tip open? Thanks for the info too. Do you know if they make an accelerator for that brand?

That is an awesome project. I might have to give it a try someday. Not yet, that's for sure. I'm still struggling with cutting a large circle.

I see mention here quite often of C/A glue. I know what it is but my first question is, what brand do most of you use? Then, once you've opened it and used the tiny bit you are going to use, how do you keep it from going bad until the next time you need it? I buy the cheapest and smallest tubes I can find because I never get to use it a second time. Also I know there is something called "accelerator" but I'm not too familiar with it. I've never used it. Anyway, I thought this might make a good topic for folks to react to and we all might get some information/advice on the subject. Also, viscosity is another question I have. It seems that the last batch I bought has the consistency of "snot". Sorry but that's what came to mind.

There is a neat metal container on Amazon. I bought the small one but I wish I had bought the big one. Mine will work but it doesn't allow for the lid/cyclone to tilt out completely. My design flaw. Didn't plan ahead.

I just went to that link on eBay and bought one for $44.99 plus tax. Free shipping. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the accessories that come with it. Now I have two sets. I'm going to order the cyclone too. I've been waiting for the credit card to clear. End of month. By using PayPal credit, I get an extra month with no interest. Now all I need is another cpap hose.

Les, you'll be amazed at how quiet it is.

I tried an experiment with a Tropical orange juice bottle. Take the cap off and cut a hole in the bottom to match the outlet of the vac. The bottom of the bottle has a concave that matches the convex of the vac. Hot glue that to the vac. It will cut the noise more than half and not bother the air flow. You'll be amazed how quiet it will be.

That's what I'm goimg to do too. I bought the little Metro Vac and the cyclone that Les mentioned. I'm going to tuck the whole thing up under my saw so it will be totally self-contained.

I am very happy with the Bauer ROS that I bought last year and now I'm going to pick up the 1/4 sheet finish sander. I've been waiting for them to come on sale.

I know that when a Hegner saw is mounted to the factory stand there is a tightening sequence for the bolts. I'm not sure about mounting to a home made stand.
