Kevin, we have had this discussion before. I think most of their stuff is way overpriced. I would think about buying the leg set made for chair sitting but not at $250 a set. I'm going to give some serious thought to making a center leg that could be straddled. I don't think it would be that difficult to do and no cannibalizing of the saw is necessary.
I usually print my patterns onto full-page shipping labels. No tape, nothing. I just use a heat gun and they lift right off after a bit of warming. And the residue that is left behind sands off very easily.
This has certainly been a warning to myself and others. Thanks for sharing. I'm happy that you are mending. And as has already been said, pics of the puppies please.
Thanks Roberta but the post I'm looking for was very recent. Unless it was a recent addition to an old thread. Whoever it was, posted a picture with a link of the chair. I'm really just trying to find out how tall they are and what saw they are sitting at. Also, do they "straddle" the legs of the saw. The EX I have is much more comfortable to sit at that this Hawk. The Hawk is so tall that I must use the tall shop stool that I have and I must straddle the two legs and that forces me to sit forward on the chair. The rounded front edge of the chair cuts the circulation off in my legs and it's darn uncomfortable. There is a solution to this dilemma. If it means altering the saw, I'll do it. I'm thinking along the lines of taking the two legs off and coming up with a center leg to straddle. The ideas are wafting from my head. Thanks again.
Thanks. I have done that but I haven't found one with a soft seat. I'm searching for just a saddle seat that I can install on my Northern Tools stool. If I can find one, I'll get a pad for it.
If it were me, I'd take the little Hegner off the stand, put it under a bench somewhere and keep it. Once you get used to the Hegners, you might think about offing the Hawk. But, for the time being, I'd keep them all.
Just within the last few days, somebody posted a picture of this stool from Amazon. I tried to find it but the search never seems to work for me. Anyway, if whoever is was would contact me or post on this thread, I'd appreciate it. I want to find out what saw they are using, their height etc.

Go for it. Most of us here who have EX or Dewalts and have purchased them don't regret it. They are great. Make a good machine great or a great machine greater. Expensive but worth every penny. I have an EX and what little vibration it had went away.
Ok Paul, now show us the rest of your shop. I know there is more. I've seen it. You have got have at least twice what I have. I've got 9 x 13 and it is jammed.
