  1. Buy a new one. I guarantee 6 great used ones will pop up across the road from you. Lol
  2. I'd still have problems spending that much when there are so many good used Hegs out there for less than half.
  3. I use my Dremel multi tool on many of my projects. I found a place on Amazon to buy large quantities of the paper in grits that I use. It works great and has speed control.
  4. Order the special tool or use a hair dryer to heat the pieces so they are soft enough to push together. They are meant to be tight so the tool is the best way.
  5. My wife liked it so much that she displays it in a little stand in our kitchen.
  6. Here's one I've been going to cut. And another one in .pdf that I cut out of hickory. I've always been going to do it again but larger. Tree of life with ornate border.pdf
  7. Outstanding Dan. Your efforts and hard work paid off. Well done!
  8. Very dirty wood so be careful! Hard on blades.
  9. I wish I could but not allowed. Rules suck but it's the world we live in
  10. Thanks to all. You have backed up what I was already thinking. I have a good coat of wax on all the bare metal surfaces. My Dewalt table saw has a painted/powder coated top so no problem there. My bandsaw will be covered top to bottom but still totally waxed. I just bought a folding/rollable stand for my Dewalt miter saw and it will have a good cover. For now, that's all that will be outside. I'm going to have a vinyl fence erected for privacy. I will end up with more than double the space I have in my shop. I'm also thinking of selling my Ex 16 and keep only the Ex 21 and the Hegner Multimax 18. I will have room then to put my drill press down onto its own stand and get it off my workbench. All-in-all, more space.
  11. Can't do that. 6 inch drop from shop to driveway. It would require a long ramp. Thieves not a problem.
  12. I live in a mobil home about a mile in from the ocean. I have a very small shop with too much equipment. So I'm going to move some of the big stuff out onto my driveway. So I want to protect it all from the elements. It will all be under cover but the air is still damp at times. I'm going to go to one of the canvas shops nearby and have some baggy covers made with zippers. What material should I get? Canvas thats breathable or what? Any advice would be appreciated.
  13. Melanie,so sorry to hear the terrible.news. Sure hope he heals well and.no long-term damage. Being laid up is not fun. I threw my back out 3 weeks ago and couldn't do anything but sit or lay. Keep us updated as things move along.
  14. I guess they are sort of a spring when you think about it.
  15. Those came out beautiful Frank. Color adds so much in some cases.
  16. It seems like we had a discussion here, some years ago, regarding blades stretching. The general consensus was that they don't stretch. I swore mine were but it turned to be the tension system on my Dewalt was wearing and needed adjusting internally. I've never experienced blade stretch again.
  17. I sure hope we get the rest of the story. I hate unfinished stories.
  18. Denny, I have always rec'd your emails and usually try to reply in some jocular way just so you knew that I read them. I appreciate your monthly deals and have made good use of them. Thanks for all you do for our hobby. You will remain my go-to source for Pegas blades. Deal or no deal! I just appreciate the great service.
  19. Well, I'm good on one. Great genes.
  20. Just remember 2 things. You are your worst critic and once the pattern is removed nobody knows what "shoulda been".
  21. How do you do it?
  22. My wife can't boil water. If our microwave ever dies, we'll starve.
  23. Well, I wish I was your weight. But, not gonna happen.
  24. Couldn't we all? I came out of boot camp in 64 at 178. Now, add 60 lbs to that.
  25. Are you using spirals or spinning that big board?
